Hi. Is there a way to create custom status messages org wide with icons to match e.g. Working from home, Annual leave etc.?

Not at the moment. I like this idea though; you could always submit it as an idea/suggestion to Microsoft's UserVoice scheme. Until then, the best thing to do is to manually set your status message. If you set an out of office message in Outlook, this will be visible in Teams too. It's worth knowing that Microsoft are developing an Out of Office function for Teams at the moment; it should be launched shortly.

I don’t believe there’s a way to do this at the moment, Parthasarathy.
You could try manually changing your status to "Available". You can type "/available" into the search bar, or click on your avatar in the top-right to change it.
Manually setting your status overrides automatic status updates that happen based on your calendar. This will happen until you click "Reset Status" or lock your computer, at least.
Teams knows if you’re "Available" at your computer based on how you use your computer (e.g. if you’re using your mouse).
