😢 it is such an impactful video! Sorry that you went through something like this and happy that things changed around for you wishing you all the best 🙏🏾🫂
In interviews he has stated while he has never done drugs, he has had a few friends who have died from it, and that is why he made this track. Quite a few people who were addicted have confessed to him that when they first heard this song it made them stop and become clean. The actual translation of the title is Train of Life, not necessarily lifetime but I know that's how it was translated in the video you watched. A lot of words in Arabic have more of a metaphorical meaning so it's hard to translate word for word. For example, if you wanted to say someone looks pretty you may use the word Amar or (Qamar) which literally would translate to Moon, so if that word were used in the Arabic lyrics and it was translated into moon instead of pretty/beautiful (depending on context of lyrics) then it might not make sense. Sorry for that long winded explanation but I had just finished watching a couple of other videos where you reviewed some other of Ahmed Mekkys' music and the lyric translations were off and I just wanted to explain why that was the case :) He is an amazing artist in everything he touches and a beautiful human being. Glad you are enjoying his stuff
@@naturalluvuk very powerful. One that unfortunately hits too close to home for me with losing a person that was like a second brother, and I am sure many of us can relate to it in one form or another. I wish you understood Arabic, you would love his comedic TV series. His music can be serious, but his acting is more on the comedic side for the most part. He is definitely a jack of all trades but does everything to the highest degree.
Me bro when i see the song for the first time it gave me a future look at my life and now 5 year's 4 months 25 day's clean thanks to god and my family support and for every one helping me and also this song ❤️
This was and still a hit song in Egypt , actually influenced my friend to try quitting drugs , but it was too late for him , sadly he died in rehab for anyone reading this Don't waste your life , you are precious and you do matter RIP bro , till we meet again
Since the release of this song, every time I watch this MV, I cry my eyes out. Even now watching it through your reaction vid, I cried again. It was such an inspiration for a lot of drug addicts to stop using.
Ahmed Makki is one of the best rapper in Egypt and the best comedian. He also always presents a message in any work he presents, even if he is a song. Thank you for the video
You know, your reaction made a lot of sense to me how you're so surprised, as a recovering addict (and i only popped pills) I assure you such scenarios happen and for those who do/done harder dru*s this exact scenario and even worse happened.. an active addict is never in control of their thoughts and actions, addiction is considered a mental and physical illness
Ahmed Mekki is one of these unique artist s in the world that u don't even need to speak Arabic to understand and appreciate how amazing, talented he is❤
He just wanna say why people turn into drugs.. no work , no money no family support although he is trying to be a good one , nothing is helping. And those people at the end die from over dose of the drug .. I have a neighbour who died coz of overdose of drugs and it was the same reaction from his family..
You’re introducing me to class music. Ta. This heavy as, but great. Known so many who’ve lived that story - your friend goes, replaced by an immoral thief/pimp/sex worker. Seeing a user charmingly corrupt a 16 year old, to get her on the game was the worst. Many died or left due to debt. Even when clean, couldn’t come back / burnt all their bridges. Smack is the worst.
i love ur face reactions specially when mekki fall down to die..second the translation is not close to the meaning of the speech coz literally translation so it's not giving the power of the meaning
the last thing I need to show u how the impact of the song ..if u go to the comments page of the original clip of the video we will observe a comment liked by more than 26 k likes and comments he said that he was addicted with cokain and when he saw the last seen when mekki starred at his mother in the graveyard he put him self in the same seen so he promised and swear to stop coz he didn't want to see his mother like mekki mother and now he working and has family with kids all that changes happened coz of mekki ❤
