  • Transferring audio from my Otari MRT90 mk-ii 16-track 2" analog tape machine to Pro Tools.
    What you hear is unmixed and exactly what the microphones heard while tracking. Once in ProTools the song will be edited and mixed.

    how do you connect the analog output to the DAW? Did you use a big audio interface or what?

      Throught the patchbay on the Trident 80B mixing console. The audio interface is a Lynx Aurora 32 i/o.

    What sample rate are you on here?

    • @fremontrecording
      @fremontrecording  Год назад

      192kHz 32 Bit floating unit. It’s the best I have to get the most of the tape.

      @@fremontrecording is this for "storage"? You will still be mixing with tape outputs?

      @@fremontrecording would've been fun (crazier?) to synchronize another 24 track, if you needed more tracks. Lol!
