Cynosure was complete horror, but gives me very high hopes for a Cyberpunk sequel with reportedly more focus on AI dangers

They've never confirmed this, but I'm basically 100% sure that AI will play a major, if not the primary role of Cyberpunk Orion.
The Jeffersons story is clearly hinting that their minds are getting overwritten or at least influenced by Mr Blue Eyes. Johnny says that he suspects Rogue Post-Blackwall AI at the ending of all this.
Gary the Prophet gets abducted after he sends us on a side mission to retrieve a mystery chip. Obviously Gary is misguided, but the truth is that he does speak _some_ truth.
      [Phantom Liberty spoilers]
And now, with Phantom Liberty ... oh my. Cynosure.
After completing the 'King of Cups' ending, you get some texts from an unknown sender.
The manner of speech is exactly like Alt in the Mikoshi scenes. Alt is not a good entity. This ending has also completely shifted my perspective of sending either V or Johnny over the bridge there. Maybe they can influence Alt in a good way, but more likely their engrams would be used for nefarious purposes.
      Yeah, I'm convinced.

@@perhapsyes2493i'm still hoping to get closure on the crystal palace ending tho CDPR already told us that PL is the end and no more DLC's are planned. either way if orion comes out in the future they will inevitably have to make one of the endings canon (if they don't completely get away from night city)

@@adonis1273 Honestly, The Sun (Crystal Palace) ending is almost certainly the canon ending. I mean, when you go with songbird to The Moon, you find out Blue Eyes is the one who bought her the trip to the black clinic. In The Sun, you are given a flight to space by Blue Eyes. It's safe to say that Songbird has The Blackwall as a Rogue AI trapped within her, and Blue Eyes is definitely some kind of puppet being controlled by a Rogue AI. The only times you go to space, it's funded by Blue Eyes. He's definitely a key player for Orion.
Songbird says that the person who got her the trip was a "contact" or something too IIRC, so theoretically they've *communicated.* This is very possible, as AI can easily connect with one-another over the Net, Rogue AI have access to damn-near everything, every network and every channel. It all connects too perfectly, alongside how AI are becoming more and more prevalent as the focus for Cyberpunk (which, in today's social climate with AI becoming more and more prevalent, seems... almost intentional, but definitely coincidence). Even before Phantom Liberty, we've had hints about Rogue AIs that have theoretically broken past the Blackwall, with Rogue AIs being described as "lovecraftian" prior to the game's release.

@@elseggs6504 Not that easy though since the endings affect Arasaka which is a core part of the world. They can only ignore everything happened at all, which I'd not like tbh.

That moment when I was reading the messages on a screen and the last one said "You are on the other side. We can hear you. We are coming", then I turn around and this metal shit rapibly attacks me, damn it actually was creepy as hell. They tried to turn Cyberpunk 2077 in a horror at this point and I didn't expect it to be actually scary

Jup for me i have the thesis the the voice is an AI collective probably of selfreplicating Rabbits AI. For them Cyberspace is limited and the realworld the ultimate backdoor. They tried using the Chimera Tank, who had no speaker thank god and a shittier core. They actualy want vs body and relic this Chip is the only tech comptabile with a human Form and the requirements the AIs have for now. So when they See V they mean they See his Potential as a backdoor to realspace.

Cynosure, and the Rogue AIs, are in Cyberpunk to remind you of what Fear is. Chromed to the gills, Sandevistan making you impossible to hit and enough subdermal armor to rival a Basilisk… you’d think yourself untouchable, and you’d forget what it means to fear death. No matter how invincible you believe yourself to be, there is always a force greater than you at play. Something that you could never hope to challenge. Someone that will always work you over. Someone that will always outsmart you. It may be forever before you meet them, but they’re out there. Waiting. Patiently. For you to slip up. For you to make a mistake.
This is Cyberpunk. You. Always. Lose.
There’s no happy endings for us. Not in this city, not for these people. The powers that be make sure of this.

Being “chromed to the gills” is what gives AIs access to your body and your mind. Ironically, your greatest strength is also your greatest weakness.
