Thank you once again Tommy and the rest of this crew. One of the biggest problems I've had my whole life with worship is I can never get into it. It's too slow, it's too soft, and it rarely captures how I feel. God gives me power. God gives me strength. God gives me righteous fury. God gives me truth. Sleeping Giant is one of my all time favorite bands, but you guys were hardcore first, worship second. It feels like this is worship first, hardcore second. I love it. Tears are rolling down my face. Finally something I can connect with, something I can feel a part of. I've never fit in with normal christians, I've never fit in with normal society. Finally I feel like I belong.

Exactly dude!! Exactly! I can't do "normal" worship. God is mighty!!! And we need to shout praises to Him as we hold our swords and banners high! Sleeping Giant brought heavy worship to this earth. So grateful. Finally something that made sense to me. Demons bow in fear as the power of God flows thru us...
I just discovered HolyName and I am absolutely loving it. I can identify with everything you wrote and feel the same way. The only bands that I've really ever been able to worship to til now were War of Ages and Becoming the Archetype. It's nice to add a new band to the list.

Best song since Perpetua. The Apostle’s Creed as lyrics is absolutely genius. Thank you Holy Name for making heavy music that satisfies the Catholic and Orthodox church-goers and not just contemporary west coast Young Life youth-groupers.
I don’t think that was the intent. Those are two false religions you mentioned and previous lyrics from Sleeping Giant totally protest against them (the song Reformation).
@@ryanscottmcclure I don’t know anything about the song you speak of, but this band is dripping with Orthodox imagery. From the three bar cross they use in everything to the trisagion prayer I saw printed on their merch. In this song they deliberately leave out the filioque clause in their “rendition” of the Nicene Creed. So I don’t know what their personal religious affiliation is, but they are at the very least fans of Orthodoxy.

@@ryanscottmcclure I was an evangelical Prot previously too, but my conversion continued. Tommy keeps dropping major hints that he’s at least exploring Orthodoxy.

I don’t care for some of the charismatic theology of some of these bands but this one’s pretty good.

Tommy is Orthodox now, apparently. But I don't think Denomination really matters in this case. It's very much a cross-denominational worship song.

Scripture doesn't contradict itself, nor does it eradicate the truth that was put in place before. The Catholic church believes that sanctification (the work of purifying the soul) takes place before justification. If that were true, there would be no need for Jesus. There would be no need for even Mary to justify them to take place in the sacraments. The Catholic Church is a lie and teaches a gospel contrary to that which is found in the scriptures and they know it. What is worse is they speak those same passages but deny the power that those words have. They are in the darkness, claiming to know the light.
Also, they deny any need for the true saving grace offered on the cross where Jesus abolished the law and opened up a way for us to pray to THE FATHER rather than what they believe making it impossible to pray to the Father in Heaven without going through another means (rosary,church heads,or saints) which it explicitly says that is wrong to do and that we are denying God if we don't pray to Him (idolatry before him)
