  • Welcome back to another gig log from the team. Aside from high school dances, I frequently work with other production companies on concerts, festivals, and private events. Today I am in Tonopah, Arizona. About 2 hours outside of Downtown Phoenix headed toward San Diego. I was hired to provide lighting and sound for a group called Warehouse Boys Off Road. They are a Phoenix 4x4 Off Road Company/Promoter Group. They bought 50 acres of land in the middle of the desert so they could 4 wheel and throw their own parties without the restrictions and politics of the city. I don’t speak much Spanish and boy oh boy do I need to touch it up a little bit… Thanks for watching, subscribe if you want to see more. It really motivates me to create more videos and gig logs when I get to hear your feedback and see more people subscribing. If you know who these bands are, please comment their names down below. It’s definitely not MANA lol…. Anyways, I have a fun video coming up next!

I remember the days of sketchy desert parties out in the middle of nowhere, not knowing where we are setting up until the last minute. Then having to break down everything and bug out in a hurry so we don't get our gear impounded. lol Legitimate desert parties and events are so much less stressful.

Yeahh let us know how many hours it takes to clean, I'm going to wager 16 to 24 hours of time to clean everything. Cases, Equipment, Cables.

Those are ADJ Jolt 300's. They are a pixel map RGBW Strobe, but they tend to work great as a rich stage wash.

Did you guys even use the movers?

Barley, probably not much in the video, we had 4 spots on the ground truss's. They made for great beams up in the dusty sky, but I was pretty concerned with all the find dust the fans were sucking in on the movers.

Are you switching to Grand ma 2?

I am trying to. I own a few different consoles, Avo Titan, the MA, Magic Q. I’m trying to see which one works best for my needs. So far, MA has been the hardest to learn, but it has the most control

Stuff that man, with all due respect why dont you guys keep it simple, for the amount of people that would of been there you could of gotten away with just basic wash lights maybe a laser or two and simple sound system. Speakers sitting on the stage instead of hung up in serious winds. How much did they pay you for all this? When your bringing $50 000 worth of gear.

Well you're correct and on the right track. Knowing what we know now about this event and all the dust. Next time we will make it simpler and easier for the sake of cleaning up. Although, they did increase the budget and pay for the larger lighting package and the flow sound system. Speakers on stage would not have cut it. They had at least 5000 people in the crowd.
