We are heading to Nova Scotia tonight to “research”/spend two nights in a Lloyoll house. Thank you, Kerry, for your very cool channel! I love that you have added Shorts. ❤🎉❤
Wow! Congrats! You've got to report back to all of us and let us know everything. Don't edit your thoughts. We need to know the good and the bad. Have fun!
Thank you, Kerry, for doing the literal footwork for all 🙏 The Lodge and its many expansion options is definitely my favorite so far. Thoughtfully designed and elegant.
These are my favorite ones I think. I really like how modern they look and the ability to add on to them. I'm still waiting for you to show me how they can locate these in a subterranean setting and then close in the front side. Then I can hibernate during bad weather.
All these tiny homes, prefab, homes are all beautiful… the problem is, that, they are all priced too high… ppl want tiny houses n prefab houses so they can save money… like someone said, the price they want, u can buy a small mansion with pool n everything… so tiny n prefab lost their way n ppl from affording it….
Thanks for another good one Kerry. Jonathan, what is the estimated life of one of your homes? Can you provide any resale value information? Do theses homes depreciate with age. Would love it if you provided some of this information because it matters to most people. Thanks!
why though...why is a 768sf house 2 br 1 ba almost $400k? I love all this, but at $200/sf that would be $160k...even at $300/sf = $240k....which is way too much...why are these so out of reasonable price range for the average Joe?
It seems that they are taking these modular prefabs and giving them the highest end finishes possible. The siding, the insulation, the floor to ceiling windows. Also forgot to mention the cost of the land! It would be easier to make this thing look extremely plain, basic, and ugly. They are tailoring their design style to clientele that clearly are not hurting for money.
Agreed - pricing is rather prohibitive and low value. And that's just the unit, not the land, the sewage, the utility hookups, the permits the zoning etc. Units are reasonably attractive boxes, but certainly not mind-blowing.
Hi Kerry, i found your channel a few days ago and started watching the past few videos. I like the info and home showcases. I've known of tiny homes for years, but lately, I started to consider them my only salvation for retirement. I project a savings of $100k by retirement, which isn't much, but I'm not wealthy and don't own any property. I currently rent and don't want to do that forever. I live in Southern California for now, and apparently, California has an ADU grant, i dont know for how long. So the kunundrum is getting a piece of land, getting it prepared for placing a prefab home after any environmental and regulatory inspections, all within budget such that by the time i retire, there is no mortgage and i only pay for annual property taxes for the land and utilities. It's a very long shot, i'm aware. I'm unmarried with no children, so i prefer a single story (as i may hate ladders and steep stairs in my elder years) studio home with a restroom, kitchen, and washer/dryer. I don't need a living room or dining area. It seems like a waste of space for not anticipating guests and an opportunity to bring the cost down. I'm leaning on solar and a septic tank, versus utility hookup. Except that a septic tank setup wants land, so I don't know what I'm saving versus connected to a city line. As for location, i look at it in terms of natural disasters factoring in climate change: Ocean coastlines can have storm surges, possible tsunamis, and erosion due to waves. The river valleys will experience floods, forest fires are a thing, and the plains can see thunderstorms with hail or even tornadoes. The deserts are just hot but see similar events to the plains. Edit: Forgot to ask, what are your thoughts, and what homes have you covered that could be a candidate for me?
I saw a big house with 8 acres listed in Michigan if space and square footage are what you’re looking for. $110,000. Lots of repairs needed though. ruclips.net/video/2eLS9pT9rB4/видео.htmlsi=ofwuAPu9bRCbmhnr
I really do love these prefabs. I like the style and the larger one bedroom would suit me fine! 😄👍 It’s just sadly way out of my price range, especially if I want one in Ontario. ☹️
Kerry !!! You know how I feel about Lloyoll. They build the most beautiful, best engineered prefab homes in North America. They are second to none. The Lloyoll Skali, with its weathered Cor-ten steel exterior is my favorite but, wow, I just learned about the the Lloyoll Lodge !!! That thing is sick !!! Oh, and I must mention, yet again... I dare anyone to find two guys that are hotter than Kerry Tarnow and Jonathan Loy in the prefab industry. I mean... sizzle... tzzz. 🔥
These are some of the best you've reviewed. It looks like someone with some understanding of modernism designed these. They look more sophisticated than most.
Was there some reason we couldn't get a detailed walk-thru? Most of your videos are all talk with at best artists renderings. I want to see the inside.
I was really excited to look at this video and consider it for a lake house, but for a price like that its not even worth it. Cool idea and video but not feasable for the people who actually want tiny prefab homes.
Many of these tiny prefabs from a variety of companies have a lot of windows, so it makes me wonder who's the target market is. I figure it's someone who can afford a view: Privacy is a matter of affording the land. Glass isn't the best insulation unless it's expensive double pane, so weather plays a role to help or hurt living without central cooling and heating. Same with the choice roof slant or exterior colors.
I love your channel but one suggestion is you waste so much time talking to the people and You hardly ever show the actual interiors exactly the main thing that people are looking for and the pricing is either not there or so very deep. I get it. You want your clicks, you want your money and those are the things you want people to watch the whole video for. But literally that is why people watch your videos. It's not to hear you talk to the freaking owner of the company.

Lloyoll is really thinking about the various environments and matching the build accordingly.
Thanks for watching
Beautiful, absolutely. And absolutely out of reach for a majority.
Amazing interview! I live in Colorado, so I'm extra excited to see what is available!
