Thank you. Your videos have taught me a lot about my 87 club car ds gas. Not so much that year specifically but you know. I just changed out the coil, starter generator, voltage regulator, solenoid, all 4 micro switched, the carb and fuel pump with fuel lines and filters. I replaced the engine mounts and all the bushings and shocks all the way around. New battery and cables. Tore the body completely off and cleaned it as best as I possibly could. The only problem I am having now is when I push the accelerator pedal it starts right away but as i push the pedal I get no rpm increase until the pedal almost bottoms out. Ive done all the work on it myself this week. around 18 hours but I just cant figure this one out.
By watching your videos, I have been able to maintain my 1997 DS gas cart. Thanks for all the great information you provide.

Those starter generators are a real pain in the butt to adjust. Good video.
I just replaced my starter generator on my 89 Marathon EZGO. Damn pivot bolt was welded tight. Had to cut it off. Need to tap a new bolt hole in it, but can’t get at it without removing the engine. Running ok for now on one pivot bolt and the tensioner fully extended.

From the ones I have worked on , the air-box o'rings are always dry rotted and needing to be replaced. Getting club car o'rings for this year seems to be getting harder to find if you use OEM club car parts. I see a ton of the 91+ DS style cars come in the shop quite a bit still running strong as ever to get normal preventative maintenance done. Great little cars.
Yeah, these are some of my favorites. They are super easy to work on and not over-complicated like EZGOs and some Yamahas
I have a real head scratcher, Kevin, if you have a second. Yamaha G8 gas, must have the gas pedal about half way down to get going. If you press it all the way, it doesn't start (engine just turns). Only when you Jimmy the gas pedal half way and then go full throttle. If you use choke? It runs totally normally. Dirty carb, right? I've taken it completely apart 3 times and used tons of carb cleaner everywhere. That sucker is sparkling. Airbox clean and it runs the same with airbox disconnected. Buy a cheap 3rd party one to validate it's the carb?
Got a real head scratcher. 96club ds. 2 new carbs one from buggies gone wild. 160 on compression. Valves adjusted.006. New fuel pump and filters. New ngk plug great spark. Fuel flooding very hard start. Fuel from overflow coming out. Fuel in crankcase. Any ideas???
Which clamps do you recommend for upgrading the fuel filter tubing to, and which fuel filters do you use?
Great video! I have a 1993 CC DS - how do you keep the throttle from opening too early on startup?? It is a pain to get running, but once you do it runs like a top. I’ve messed with this thing for nearly six years and can’t figure it out.
Awesome love the club car content. I asked awhile back but I know your busy but if you could ever do a video on your xrt and what you’ve done to it and maybe what you do on a yearly basis to maintain it I think that would be a good video. I have a carryall so I know it’s basically all the same for maintenance

Hi,can you help, I have a 1991 club car and I went to check the oil but there is no sign of the dipstick or oil filler cap
Hey Kevin, I just bought a 96 golf cart. It is getting gas in the crankcase. I watched your previous video on cleaning the carb out. Question for you, is it okay just to buy a new carb and fuel pump and slap it on? If so do you have any recommendations?
Replacing the carb would be fine. If you're comfortable doing so, I would try to clean it first. EverythingCarts or BuggiesUnlimited are great places to buy.
Is there ever any need to use the adjustment screws on the carb? I can't find much info on that
Not really. There is very little adjustment. I've not seen a difference with it.
