When it started I thought they might be covering a 70s song that I didn't know. The melody hit so instantaiously. I really don't understand how they keep coming with unexpected things like that over and over and over again.
Sorry but this is leaugue's ahead of the album version. The drum and guitar sound here is just immaculate. I think the base is mixed too high in the studio version and the acoustic makes this once beautiful song dreary.
Fully agreed. The studio version sucks out all the energy of the sparkly overdriven guitar, the beating drums and the powerful vocals. Looks like I'll be coming back to these live versions. Still love you Thom, Jonny and Tom. Just a weird decision to kill this amazing song like that.
100% agree. I couldn't wait to hear this dirty grungy version on the album and was completely underwhelmed by the album version at first. It's grown on me but hearing this again makes me want it on the album.

They really are masters of their craft, expanding their minds, breaking down walls, using the infinite energy available to them
The intro kinda reminds me of the doors... the end.
I swear it sounds so familiar. but I dont even know what sort of genre you'd call it
how about five more "and over again"?

God Dammit Thom. You did it again
The smile meets velvet underground.
This sounds amazing. The Smile's projects just keep on improving and improving.
Thanks for posting I am absolutely in love with this song can’t wait for it to be released 🤞
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you for sharing this. So many layers - it's gorgeous. Shades of _Echo & The Bunnymen._
My gob hurts from being smacked repeatedly by these guys.
This is already one of my top 5 smile songs!
Opening chords remind me of Pink Floyds 'Us and Them'. Brilliant, as always 😊
Lurgee 2.0?
Exactly what I thought!
Finaly he uses his lower register
Perfect this one…

Looking forward to the album studio version coming in October :)
What do you think of the album version now that it's out?
There is enough new songs for at an EP or more.
