16:09 was intense. It felt like watching a final lap of motogp where theyre weaving past each other. Definitely more strategy needed with collisions on and it adds fear and suspense for the viewers making it more exciting.

Ride 5 is the first ride game I’ve ever played. Also the first realistic racing game I’ve ever played. I ride motorcycles IRL so I have some understanding. That being said.
I played my first online race a few days ago, going into the first corner, it looked like a need for speed lobby. I was doing better than most of the other players but I kept getting taken out by them going too fast into the corners. So for me, I say collisions off, that way we can see who the better riders are. I’m still fairly new though, under 10 hours played but i think im doing okay
Try the Isle of Man TT franchise 🤙🏼 I love both ride is fun for friends but TT is raw asf riding in/as a game
When you get the downshift halfway through the second tunnel before the lefthander, try only taking one downshift, tip left and gently feather onto the gas. There should be enough traction to carry you through the lefthander and carry that gear until the braking zone for the uphill right turn. 2 downshifts there may unsettle the bike too much.
Nice riviera, I grew on those roads. Of course they aren’t so wide 😅
wish more people played this game on PC, im having a blastt but lobbies seem to be more scarce than Ride 4
I like the variety of collisions on or off. Two different types of racing. Collisions off is definitely good for more chill racing too.

team collisions on, it add the realism to the pass, with the subsequent risks of taking someone out! of course when its dangerous dive bomb and no fair play it isnt fun, but still!

I like qualifying races without collisions. Driving a good time while you can see your opponent is very good. Having to do one or two maneuvers in the race in order to overtake is real racing. both together in one race a pleasure. I apologize for the confusion caused by my renaming, but this vidio alone shows why this name is so much more enjoyable. say hello to "Nordschleifling" :D

Collisions on is good when racing with people who race clean but there are the noobies that are out of control torpedos into every corner, especially T1 on the start. And there are some people that know how to play but don't mind using you as a kerb or generally just shoving you out of the way. We have one on Ride4 on XBL who recently won a MotoAmerica junior cup championship who is a surprisingly dirty online racer.
Racing against those I much prefer collisions off. Then it's purely down to who is the the most consistently quick.

Them Brazilians are no joke! Btw if you make preload to 2 front and rear the bike will turn in better 👌🏾
You also want to adjust the dampers for road surfaces, unless you want your bones shattered 😂
@@HyperBlueWolf lol I think I make them at least 3 or 4 but I usually just adjust preload and make the spring hardness at least 8-9
I never bother with changing the setups but I’ll give it a try at some point 👍🏻

Bought the busa as my first purchase on ride5 was really excited to get to race online with it but no one runs up to 1400cc😅

The game is a step backwards, it has an exaggerated understeer that not even touching the setup can you correct. The rear suspension bounces and sinks like the shock absorbers of a bicycle, you don't feel the poise and weight in the rear, they have flattened all the circuits and there are no longer potholes in any of them, they are highways. They have corrected the problem of the semi-automatic transmission that went up the gears by itself when downshifting, but they have introduced another bug, now if you go very high revs and accelerate, it keeps cutting ignition without upshifting for 2 or 3 seconds. Now you can no longer do inverts because they have limited the elevation angle of the rear wheel to 60 degrees. Anyway... what they have done with the game is a bunch of nonsense
I disagree mate, I love the new handling, feels a lot more like MotoGP now so bouncing between the games is much more manageable. My issues with the bike turning have been down to me not braking properly, now that I’ve got the hang of the braking with certain bikes I’m finding I don’t have issues with the bikes turning. Tackling some chicanes is effortless in this game. I used to get a weird sticky feeling when bikes would turn on RIDE 4. Almost like the bike would glue onto one side and not allow me to turn. I don’t have that here in RIDE 5. Definitely persevere with it mate 🔥
How to play with multiplayers with joysticks ?
I may have to pony up for a new console as the Ride 4 lobbies are really slowing down on old gen. :( The qualifying and potential 20 deep field look fun.

the Ride 4 lobbies are nonexistent on PC, most of them i’ve seen are just H2R lobbies
It seems to me that the sacred one makes up extra time by diving deep on the brakes, quickly turning and powering out. I wonder if he uses the rear brake intensely to achieve this. Do you know if that is the case?

Every time I hop in a lobby on pc, at least half the lobby gets kicked🙃 like what’s going on with that? My internet is perfect
On Xbox I have Ethernet 80mbps up / 80mbps down, and usually still drop connection before the first lap ends.
@Weallfinnadie this is why I avoid online unfortunately. Also, there's always some donkey trying to race on dial up and jumping all over the track.
@@thewispo that is funny seeing that time to time, but there the occasional hackers with lvl 500 already but only a few races done lol some guy from China was like that in my lobby recently and he got smoked by me and left the game 😂
@@NudaMan Ugh. I'm on Series X. Its not that bad at all for xbox. And my connection is spectrum cable 90/11mbps Most races go off without disconnects. I'd say 85-90% success rate.
Hey Dr. Ace. I'm new to this genre and I'm enjoying your content a lot. I'm thinking to buy the game but I've seen that Ride 4 is much cheaper. Do you recommend to buy ride 5 even though ride 4 is almost 1/4 the price? Thanks a lot, man!
Welcome! Both are great options but if you’re looking to get involved online I’d recommend RIDE 5 since many have moved over now 👍🏻
Ye 600 feel more like ride4 the 1000 r something else ,need to get used to
if u r racing with people who are actually good its fun to race with collisions on...however racing people who don't give room to maneuver race with collisions off lollllll and raceboi95 didn't punt the German wide in race 1 he got up the inside and made him go wide lmaoooooo hahahaha

It doesnt really bother me if collisions are on or off but yeah i think you can become a better rider when having them on.
