The Lord's Prayer (from Jesus himself) is in not one but two epistles/writings in the Bible: from St. Matthew (one of the 12 apostles) chapter 6 and from St. Luke (a disciple of Jesus who followed him and chronicled or wrote what he witnessed) chapter 11. It was when someone asked Jesus, during one of his teachings/gatherings, how to pray. Each and every word in the 'Our Father' came from Jesus himself. As chronicled or witnessed by St. Matthew and Luke.
Kudos to Pinky Webb as the interviewer, she asked the right questions to each correspondent who are affected in this issue, she was open to all the opinions and answers, and she didn't show signs of having a side in this issue she simply gave us perspective from each correspondent. Rare to see a journalist like her these days

My partner and I are part of the LGBTQ community. While watching the video, we couldn't help but feel disappointed. Because if you think about it, there are a lot of ways to do self-healing and even celebrate inclusivity, but instead, you chose to use the sacred one. We're Catholics as well, and that is really disrespectful. It's been years and years of fighting for the LGBTQ community to be accepted by the public and to be respected and acknowledged by the church. And now, this.

I remember when a group in a show called "That's Entertainment" used a sacred song from the Islam religion. The song was used for their dance performance and it wasn't even used to disgrace the song/religion, but just to showcase a certain culture from other part of the Philippines. However, the show was still called out for what they did and I believed they apologized in the end. I am not currently practicing any religion but I am a firm believer that we all need to respect every one's religion. ❤

I am gay and I am not as religious as any other Catholics are. I mean I used to during my younger years but growing up, we get to encounter a lot of things that will test our faith and I would consider myself still a Catholic but not practicing the religion I was brought up in. It even got worst when my mom died last January that I really questioned God's existence. Even so, I never ever got to the point of disrespecting the religion I used to believe in. I understand how a lot of Catholics are reacting and I never would blame them for that. We owe it to them to feel disrespected. And to Pura, not judging you from the incident as nobody is perfect and as humans, we are flawed by these imperfections. What I do like to hear from you is to admit, that you made some lapses and stop justifying your mistake. Sorry is a simple word and I guess people would be more understanding about your mistake the moment you heed and show humility and acceptance.

Blasphemy is a great and grave sin. True form of art or expression should always be entertaining not something offending, damaging or leaving negative impact to an audience. Wrong actions should not be justified by something else even wrong reasonings. We have the freedom of expression yet we should be mindful of the impact and consequences it has made.

The appalling and worsening culture war in the US and elsewhere in the West over similar matters ought to be a cautionary tale for us in the Philippines. I remember when a group in a show called "That's Entertainment" used a sacred song from the Islam religion. The song was used for their dance performance and it wasn't even used to disgrace the song/religion, but just to showcase a certain culture from other part of the Philippines. However, the show was still called out for what they did and I believed they apologized in the end. I am not currently practicing any religion but I am a firm believer that we all need to respect every one's religion. ❤

You can't use normal nippers as nail cutter as this will destroy the nipper. Prayers are meant for specific purpose and not for entertainment as the priest pointed out. Why Pinky kept pressing the issue is that she did not understand this simple definition of the word sacred.

I am gay and I am not as religious as any other Catholics are. I mean I used to during my younger years but growing up, we get to encounter a lot of things that will test our faith and I would consider myself still a Catholic but not practicing the religion I was brought up in. It even got worst when my mom died last January that I really questioned God's existence. Even so, I never ever got to the point of disrespecting the religion I used to believe in. I understand how a lot of Catholics are reacting and I never would blame them for that. We owe it to them to feel disrespected. And to Pura, not judging you from the incident as nobody is perfect and as humans, we are flawed by these imperfections. What I do like to hear from you is to admit, that you made some lapses and stop justifying your mistake. Sorry is a simple word and I guess people would be more understanding about your mistake the moment you heed and show humility and acceptance.

The appalling and worsening culture war in the US and elsewhere in the West over similar matters ought to be a cautionary tale for us in the Philippines. We must see and learn critical lessons from the terrible ways western society is handling the situation. If we fail to then we will repeat the same disastrous and costly mistakes. While there is freedom to live one's preferred life, there must also be proper RESPECT for the more conservative and traditional ways that have sustained Philippine society for centuries.
