In the case of a recent docudrama, the Mom of one girl was told that she had the choice to accept either a new son or a dead daughter. (Yes, parents are told that if transition is not done, then the child will kill commit suicide.) Unfortunately, in the case mentioned, after realizing that she would never really become a male, the girl committed suicide anyway. Sad case for all involved, especially the mom who is speaking out. Sad, too, that "medical professionals," domestic courts, and government agencies refuse to accept the fact that the X and Y chromosomes that actually determine gender cannot be changed regardless of how many cross gender drugs and surgeries are provided.
