Clearbarrow can be the architect of a red letter day or a frustrating struggle. Surface tactics seem to work all year for the carp more than bottom baits which is interesting. The tench can plague your carp baits on the bottom all year too not just spring but since they are all such a good size I wont complain! Its a great venue to crack on with.
Great comment ....thank you ...Its all a learning curve for me and i enjoy the process of figuring out a venue .. It may take years ...but i'm really Ok with that .... these lakes/Tarns are special and i'm glad to be a member of this club thanks to Paul who gave me the heads up.

nothing worse than being snagged up and then you relax all your lines to see if it will un-free itself only to find your still snagged and the fish has buggered off! LOL
Hey Chris yep certainly a wee bit moist at best LOL still, i really liked the session These Cambrian lakes i fish are not 100% carper friendly at the moment due to land owner constraints (not club rules) but lets hope that may change for the good of all in the future. As i said previously shame you cant make the Chuff social but i know 100% you are working. I think a lot of folk miss our socials and we should make plans for the six amigos to fish again. respect to you good sir , regards /matt👍

A lot of anglers wouldn't bother taking the time to talk to others they would just cast anywhere and hope for the best just goes to show your a real gent. Great video. Can't wait to see what you catch in the next video
As I walked over to the other anglers they were having the exact same conversation, fortunately for me they also had a great sense of humor and when i asked where their baits were they pointed well into my swim.... which made me say "OH bugger" obviously they were kidding ...well maybe not all of them LOL. Its easy isn't it Stephen, I guess they thought I was just going to lob the baits out and bollocks to um.... hence their conversation that I interrupted. A little bit of common courtesy can go a long way and when i did get pulled in, all the drama and potential crap had already been squared away. It took about 10 minutes of my time, to meet new faces and check out where they were. As for the next vid I was just soooo glad to get my first fish of the year. bonkers when you think we are in month 5! Kind regards Matt👍👍

Great vlog I’ve got 9foot drawf rods and a 2 rod bag and I get my landing net and pole , rod rests and weights and I take a small off end bits hooks ext great bit of kit

@@MaffTUK fire lit made burgers dropped them in hot Cole’s but was nice watched your winter hang and brought myself a zippo and it’s in my foot box not got a drink 4 year sober on 19th of this month also had a deer come within 20 feet of me too tonight mate . And yes best night sleep I’m fooking floating lol

I purposely made the bream feed (particles and maze) to attract anything, It just goes to show you can be over confident too, those fish dont read the same books as me obviously LOL. going to try the other carp lakes we have in the club at some point and i'm looking forward to it, I really like this clubs waters and also looking forward to learning the lakes or as you say "crack um" might take a wile though. cheers keith, regards Matt
@@MaffTUK it’s the lakes mate and they’re bloody moody waters. Remember they are newish fish as they wont admit it but they had a massive Fish kill years ago. Also there location means the water is damn cold to. Nice places but go in winter and it feels bloody spooky lol 😂. Good luck and just keep at it mate but backlead all your lines and get those bobbins dropped lower and get the baits on the deck (try 18mm) 👍 Keith

Tricky little venue MAFF sometimes but keep on bashing away and you’ll crack it
