- Sooooo, that video I did on Ting-Ting, Mei and Su did surprisingly well, and I'm grateful for it and it got me thinking about how little the amount of Mulan content there is on this channel, and so, after surfing through some suggestions, I found that these three kings were very high on the list (alongside Mushu) ALSO that princess video is one of my favourites, idk why.
This video isn't the best I'm afraid, something about the editing feels off, but I'm still glad these guys will get to have their moment. Remember, this channel isn't about the edits, it's more about just giving underrated characters a chance to shine ✨️

Every pair of Chinese lion statues that guard homes and gates are a couple and you can tell the difference between the two because the female lion has a cub at it's paw and the male lion has a smooth ball. And because both of those lions have smooth balls they're in fact gay lol.

@@pocky1624Xiran Jay Zhao is an author who had a youtube channel but doesn’t really upload there anymore. Back when the 2020 Mulan remake released she made a video on it and right after was the video about the og animated Mulan. Both are great video essays you could still watch.

I’m happy they had more screen time in Mulan 2, which that film also introduced us the three princesses which are the best characters in the entire sequel.

This trio are a highlight of the story as their friendship with Mulan remains even after her cover is blown. They devote their loyalty to her, they were ride or die.

I always loved how these guys were based off of the 3 Stooges, Except with Yao, Ling, And Chien Po it's kind of a personality reversal because given that Chien Po is the obese and bald one you'd think he'd be the Curly of the trio but since he played the voice of reason at times he's more like Larry, But Ling definitely acts more like Curly with his bumbling moments and since Yao always has to play the tough guy he's definitely the Moe of the group. I mean I'm sure people with inevitably tell me that I'm way off but I'm sure you all get the point.
I think you're pretty spot on, but I would also add that Yao would also be Moe because he acts as the leader of the group just as Moe is the leader of the Stooges.
Shenzi, Banzai and Ed were better.

The kings and drag queens we don't deserve. This trio remained so loyal to Mulan and tried to prevent her from getting killed even after she was revealed to be a woman. Those are true bros right there. Ling especially has been my favorite of the three for the longest time but I still think they're all great. It makes me incredibly happy when I run into videos like this one, because these guys need to be appreciated so much more.

What I always liked about these three is that they didn't mind it when Mulan was revealed to be a woman. They didn't look at her and think how could they be tricked by her. But they looked at her and thought, "This one is our friend and she's one of the bravest soldiers here, we're not going to let her get hurt". And didn't hesitate to follow her when she thought of a way to save the emperor and shielding her from any prejudice that will go her way.
This trio is so underrated I love them so much(the emperor’s pretty iconic too)
