- My name is Van (@vanmakeupnyc), I am a Makeup Artist in NYC and owner of Artist Kit Company. This is my update kit for 2023. I hope this video give you answers and inspirations to help you with your kit condensing journey. Take your time, setting up your kit is not a race, there is no deadline & it's a never ending journey. As you develop as an artist, your kit will evolve with you. I'm only willing to do the easy things like. Liquid in smaller bottles, deporting lipstick, foundations and cream blushes/bronzer. All the hard stuff like melting pallate and powder is just a Lil intimidating for me😅.
I love that you keep posting an update every year on your set up. I'm not much into makeup myself, but your organization is soo soo satisfying.

Love your kit ! I've only depotted lipsticks and foundations not many other things but honestly your videos inspired me to take out a lot of things I never used and from a yucca filled to the top I now carry depending on the job my backstage mini from kit co or my essential bag from kit co and I always have more than enough. Even if I carry a few just in case things.

Yes!!! I did the same thing with glitter. I learned my lesson when it all fell over allllll my makeup.

I've been looking into building my own kit and this gave me a really insight on what beginning this journey might look like for me. its not easy trying to find the right people for advice for things like this, where I'm from. So it's always good see that there are people out there who are dedicated to teaching these things.

Where can we purchase these? Amazon? I wrote down the dimensions of the bag! Definitely need a much bigger bag, like this one! Great idea too about keeping glitters separately & in a sealed bag🤌 Perfection👏🙌💯

2. Color code so no one takes my clips.

Love this video, thank you so much for sharing! Would you be able to share the name of the stacked containers you had your liquid concealers in, or did you glue them together to make your own stack? I thought my kit was already super condensed but never even considered that I could depot my liquid concealers!

The bags you have the glitters in is perfect! Did you purchase those somewhere?
they call mylar bag, just packaging bags. I didn't want to throw them out.

Sorry I have a lot of questions haha. What if you have multiple clients? I’m curious because of the limited brushes. I don’t think you showed how you disinfect in between clients. What disinfectant do you use? Or how do you clean the spatula when you want to dip it into a new container. What if you need more sponges or powder puffs?
