      I heard it was designed by the inventor of the basic concept of providing light to guide wayward ships, Benjamin Jebediah Litehous. When it was first built, they relied on flame to illuminate the area. But that all changed once electricity was introduced, and the first electric lighthouse bulb was invented by Eduardo Incandesant. 😁

      @@HighlanderNorth1 It most likely was originally powered by the old lost technology of atmospheric electricity as many high towers were before greedy electric companies put a stop to free energy; though I wonder what the original lenses were since Fresnel lenses were not invented when it was built.
