  • This part of the roadtrip was really extensive! Traversing along river Zanskar, we went up and down three mountain passes: all in a day’s work! Travel toughens you up: we really had to bend over backwards to pull from Padum to Leh. In this episode, you find us exploring the feral beauty of river Zanskar. Being our debut trip to Zanskar, we winged it when it came to the itinerary, which is why we had to pull long evenings, but it has assured a second trip in the near future. This travel vlog is certainly a tribute to river Zanskar and the towering LAs and that allow you to drive on their backs and witness untamed beauty! Hope you enjoy this part of the journey with us as well! Cheers!

At 04:39 on your time line, the road leads to lingshed village as far I can remember. It is a very steep, dirt road through murgum la and can't afford to stop/slow down your car till you reach the top.
The road you took between the point and shinge la seems different.

Hey Jayant, thanks for the info ! There wasn’t any board which said Lingshed, hence we went with the other board which had Leh written on it ! And yes, the one we took is said to be the new route to Leh ! 😊

@@Thehimtwain Hello, the route you took is the third route that connects to the lingshed diversion that you skipped at 04:39. the latest new route connects Nerak to Chilling via the Tibb cave. You can see the lingshed diversion route and the nerak to wanla route on google maps but the nerak to chilling route will show a gap, this is the road that BRO is making now. Cheers!

@@Thehimtwain Nice Vlogs, did you got the stays easily or had to camp during your tours..

Thank you so much 😊 Oh we really had to struggle for stays and also for food ! Leh city hardly had any tourists. All the hotels were about to pack up around 15-16 of October. We were lucky enough to find 2-3 good hotels ! We would recommend to travel before 15th October ! Till 15 some hotels are operational but after that it becomes difficult to find places to stay and eat ! Hanle was the biggest struggle ! We kept looking for atleast 3-4 hours but didn’t find anything ! Some hotels had shut down and some didn’t have water ! We had some snacks, sleeping bags, and tent with us ! However, after a tiring journey you do need a good place to stay and relax !
