I'm just guessing but I think that all Synagogues would have a seat of Moses. A place to sit and give interpretation of scripture, judge local affairs and court proceedings. The one thing I got out of what you said about Paul, that he took the Levan out of the law. Jesus said to listen but don't do what they do. It's a bit funny but the truth. Sometimes it's interpretation, or the way of being hypocrites, to discern what the scripture means between you and God in thought and prayer. I'm beginning to look at Israel as a Hive. Everyone knows the same ways, taught from birth generation to generation. They could practically read each others minds they were so close to each other as a nation. It's not that easy thinking like a first century Jew, it takes time see them individually and as a whole. Pondering it can be mind blowing. Thank you....
I believe Moses' seat is his authority. Authority of the law If you keep reading he tells them how they have perverted Moses ' law. Woe Woe Woe. Deuteronomy 33:21, “And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he SEATED; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel.”
Kise in hebrew seat/means thrones. The seat of Moshe is the Sanhedrin. Recall Moses' spirit placed on the 70 elders. The point is for judging by the Torah in the spirit of Moshe. The Sanhedrin being the highest court like our supreme court. Yeshua said do as they say which would include oral Torah. There is way more to understand that passage.
@XavierPutnam the seat of moshe is in statis currently until the Sanhedrin is reformed. 2. Yes oral law is absolutely still valid. Halachic Jews still & must follow Oral Torah it's how they maintain unity, community & their identity. For none jews who desire to do Torah, it can truly only be achieved with the community of Israel. All of this requires proper study with a remnant jew.

Islamic tradition also indicates it is a seat of judgment.

Do you think the Seat of Moses still exists today, and that we are therefore obligated to obey “Oral Torah?”
