Muay Thai - Day 834 - Fight 2 - Petchbuncha Stadium - Anton W.M.C. Samui vs Wanornthep Sor. Phlaidam

Phetchbuncha Boxing Stadium, 12th June 2024
My second fight - against a fifty-fight Thai veteran; credited as Sor. Phlaidam on the footage, but the announcers are calling him "Lukdamphonngam", so I am not sure really where he trains. In the end the difference in physical conditioning proved too much for my older opponent, but it was encouraging to get in there with a seasoned fighter opposite me and to see that there were technical weaknesses to be exploited.
It was a hard camp this time, and I was lucky that he was not throwing any left kicks, since I walked into this one with a fractured rib on the right side. In the prep room, Seven blessed the vaseline he was about to apply to my head with a powerful protective spell, in order to protect me from cuts, since I was sliced open so badly last fight - and I guess it worked! A good result, and any fight you walk out of without any real damage is worth being thankful for.
Onto the next one - I'm going to try to fight at 72kg next I think. I feel very powerful at 76kg, but slow and heavy, and I think it's going to be easier to find appropriate opponents at my height at a lower weight.
