I'm from Indianola. I was there from the beginning of his festivals around 1980 or so. That was our 'Fourth of July'. Such memories! I recorded many of his shoes and countless hours of Delta footage. RIP, King.

That is a fantastic story! I wish I could have seen him perform. Indianola looks like a beautiful place to live. I was amazed at the beautiful country that I drove through to get to the museum that day. B.B. King was a great person and the museum is a wonderful tribute to his life and his music. Thanks for watching and commenting on my video. Have a great day.

@@Dr.SalvatoreVinciguerra You bet! The Delta is heavily haunted and in rough shape. Always has been, but now it's really rough. But a gothicly haunting place with a lot of mystery. Will out up some of my own videos sometime soon.

I recently saw a documentary about B.B. King's Homecoming. Do any of you know exactly where the sign “Indianola, Home of Blues Legend B.B. King” is located? I would like to photograph it on my next trip to Indianola. Thank you very much!

    where is his guitar Lucille?

Great question. I really don't know. You could call the museum and ask them. The B.B. King restaurants in Nashville and and in Memphis have some of his guitars. However, when I visited the location in Memphis on Beale Street, I got to see his grand daughter and people who were close to him. I asked them why didn't build and museum with his instruments in Memphis. They informed me that at the end of his B.B. King's life he lived in Las Vegas. It is very possible that the family has a company that manages his property and that his guitars are spread out over several locations to make money. If you find out the answer to this question, please let me know.
