    Man I got a 07 commander I’ve been doing so much research on my problem some came close some idk some didn’t do crap…. But u Man…U did wat no one else even mentioned or showed the way u did. Having this exact same problem doing exact same thing wire ground on pcm did exactly what I needed! First off trying to find a wiring diagram for this car is impossible that’s going thru 3 service books I got locations of things wiring for plugs but nvr entire wiring harness! Thank you I’m exhausted on how much I did to my jeep how much I researched my jeep so many ppl have similar issues but non cld figure it out one min they think they did but nope week later same thing being broke dwn in a different state then where I live did not help me but this was the answer! The way u went at it with the audience im not doubting ur skills cuz u wldnt b where ur at but u checking ur possibilities the way u did yap u diff went in a way diff approach. I cleaned my whole system checked everything I mean everything I was not comin to conclusion…nor did anyone else’s (common)checking system helping me figure it out but urs did that little bitty ground on 38pin that was new I followed that did it and the jeep cranked not start but cranked I was kissing an huggin jeep after that. For being in diff state away for OVER A MONTH was hard no mny comin in kids back home having to figure things on own cuz of just losing their momma it was gettin to b stressful for min there I was at a point I didn’t no wat to do and I am a mechanic but this was a new experience and I’m glad to learn something new. Again THANK YOU!!!

    Magic thanks for another excellent troubleshooting video. Very appreciative of how you walk us through the process step by step,plus your thinking out loud is also very helpful. Glad you came across a repair you could make a video of. Hope everyone is doing well Artie 😊

    Great video Maic your stuff is so cool it could be the PCM but another thing to prove out is the ignition sw MUX circuit look at your wiring diagram in the power distribution section at the complete ignition switch you will see resistors that resistors change as the ig sw changes acc run start that circuit is wired to the steering colume module which has got to have communation with PCM best wishes Maic

      Thanks for the advice. I did check all circuits and the only part missing is the ground side control from pcm.

    I would have tested for START voltage from the ignition switch all the way to the ECU ground control for the relay to check wire integrity in START mode. You did the ground side jumper test later in the video so the same outcome, the wire is good. Snap On printer software built-in is part of the Snap On price that you pay. Most of those codes are from the owner killing the battery with too much cranking. Monitor your 5VRef when you turn the key to START as maybe it and other live data (that you selected) powers for the ECU (if in data PIDs) might drop out when you attempt to crank so you know if the ECU is not alive when trying to crank. Connector C is the third connector next to the Green (D). Same on all Chrysler/Jeep with this style computer. Alldata should have a pic of the ECU with connectors labeled so you are not guessing at what is the Natural color? You pierced probed C1 pin 29 red wire hot at all times with connector disconnected and in your hand, damaged pierced wire when you could have used test light to see if power is there at the pin at the end of the connector in your hand. Then did it again for grounds on 9 and 18. Then off camera pin 30. As you can see, I am against piercing, I think you removed a cover from one of the connectors, broke it a little and I did not notice you back probing as I guess you don't back probe normally?? I would assume that the owner burned up the ECU from all the extra cranking without allowing enough cooldown time, too bad. The only test I didn't notice was a pin fit at the ECU connector for the relay ground control wire, no wiggle test, and no tap test on the ECU for loose solder joint, but I think we know this is a common problem. Thank you very much for the diagnosis, schematics, and system operational strategy. Thank you for taking extra time to teach your viewers and thank you for NOT saying on camera, you need to get another hour of diagnosis time from the customer.

    I was thinking the whole time .. it's the PCM. And next video is going to be the repair of pcm. I wonder how much PCM costs. Can you use junkyard PCM and program it with programmer to work with this car? It will be very useful video. Nice to see you making videos again!

      Yes on this year model you can as long as you have a scanner that can reset the Skin and write the VIN.

      @@MaicSalazarDiagnostics So you do not need J2534 tool to program a used PCM the scanner will do it so it need only coding or they called some thing else to write the SKIM and VIN to it thanks.

    Maic , what's the problem if the fuel pump wire from the FP relay 87 is only 3v going to the pump

    • @MaicSalazarDiagnostics
      @MaicSalazarDiagnostics  3 года назад

      Hard to say with out been there. So let’s say if pump is connected and you are using a multimeter at terminal 87 then that is voltage drop across the fuel pump. So either the pump is not been fully commanded or the car is not running. How are you testing it?

    Hola amigo veo en tus videos que trabajas en carros Europeos tambien,tengo una pregunta sobre un 2003 bmw 325i convertible que no puedo reparar por si tubieras una idea o que consejo darias sobre esto.,el problema del carro es que tarda para prender pero cuando prende todo esta bien,entonses tu pones inision y el marcador de temperatura todo asta arriba mientras eso pasa hay relay de pcm haciendo un sonido y cuando ese sonido para el marcador de la temperature baja y se activa la bomba de gasolina y el carro prende como si nada,pues yo pensaba que era el sensor de temperature que va el block y lo cambié,cuando armé el intake manifold el carro prendió de una y pues pensé que eso era todo,pero cuando puse el intake cometí un error de dejar la valvula del idle air control desconectada entonses me di cuenta tambien en ese momento con esa valvula desconectada el carro me prende de una y el marcador tambien no se sube asta arriba y bueno recurri a scribirte, por que todavia lo tengo sin poder reparar.

      Deberias de hacer una prueba de caida de voltage con un multimetro. Me suena como a un problema con una tierra. Eso de que marque maxima temperatura y lo de los relays sonando es comun, cuando pierdes una tierra principal.

    exactly what i had but in a 1998,,,ended being the crankshaft sensor,,,,,to test with a test light to ground test your crankshaft return signal wire,,,if all is good after crankshaft sensor,,you should get injector and spark by proving this wire,,you should also hear your asd (auto shut down relay )engage,,fyi,,,this relay powers all those things,,,,,,jeeps are bad for their crankshaft sensors,,,,,,another indicator is if your rpm gauge doesnt move,,,than its the sensor fault,,,,
