Thanks for the comment, bc. It's good that you mention it because I recall saying to the owner that he needed to do something about the lack of articulation (flex). This Atlas trucks was shipped directly from China before they were available in North America, so I suspect this might be why the shocks look different. I will check with the owner and get back to you. Cheers.
Turns out you are absolutely right about the shocks. Roman just informed me that he had already switched to Pro Line shocks by the time of filming -- something he forgot to mention. LOL. I wonder if the truck would have done better with the stock shocks, as his setup was way too stiff imo and there was not enough articulation. If you check this truck in subsequent videos, I still see a problem with articulation. I would want more. Thanks for eagle-eyed correction. ruclips.net/video/HSc11iAZPzw/видео.html
Thanks! Gotta admit, it's great to spend all day in the woods and not have to worry about dehydration, sunstroke, mosquitos, or getting lost in an Amazon-like jungle LOL. Not a fan of summer conditions, so I'm enjoying it while I can. Hope you are too, Mike.
I like the Atlas style and the big tires of the TRX gives it that “Stomper 4X4” look but best of all is the Comanche with it’s smaller tires leading the way! Well done sir!
Thanks, rcpt. Funny how one old beat up but highly modified truck, one sorta new semi stock RTR, and a brand new truck can all trail together and do about the same. Gotta luv it.
Thanks, Monica. I so enjoy seeing smiling faces and hearing laughter in films where I'm trailing with friends. A fine day in the woods just lifts everyone's spirits -- as you are well aware!
Maya had the best time of all -- running, leaping, diving. Hope she got a good bath when she got home. Phew. LOL. Highlight was when she impressively led us to that big beautiful (and huge) whitetail deer, who bounded away before we could get her on film. And...might have been a creepy old man -- might have been a beautiful young woman disguising her voice. Might have been a witch or a vampire! 😄
LOL. Must have fallen out when the Comanche was bumping over those rocks on the way over to the steep climb. It's funny that you mention it because one time when I was trailing with a friend I picked up a golf ball and dropped it into the back of his Cross RC EMO, which immediately quit working. Stopped dead right then and there with electronics problems. He always reminds me of this. Cheers and thanks for the comment. ps: There are two golf courses right nearby, but it still takes a mighty good slice to wind up where we trail.
what? That atlas has aftermarket shocks I'm sure. The stock ones are all black and a smaller bore.
