As someone who received Christ at 17yrs old in 1972 during the Jesus Revolution here in California, I can't wait to see this movie. Still going strong, Jesus is real and is returning Maranatha!
I also received Christ at 17 years of age in New Mexico at a Youth-led revival. We didn't know how much the Lord was moving across the country at the time, but started to hear about things happening in California, then Dallas, then... Jesus Christ- the same yesterday, today, and forever!
Me too, but not until 1976. I was 21. Some family friends took me out to a Saturday night concert at CC Costa Mesa to see Keith Green. I think Jimmy Kempner was leading Saturday night concerts then and Lonnie F was gone. It was in the new building by then. I wasn’t around for the tent but so many of my new friends were. So I was fruit of that revolution.
@@janetlanders8220 can I ask what the name of the house ministry was? I came to the Lord at Calvary Chapel in 1970 and 4 years later I joined a house ministry.
My husband was there! Although he didn’t attend Chuck’s church, he was only a few miles away passing out tracks, and playing his guitar on the streets, beaches and in prisons. He DID go to Calvary Chapel for their concerts every Saturday night where he saw Lonnie, Greg and others not mentioned. I’m grateful for the movie because he said it brought back a lot of memories and has stirred his heart! I say…LET’S GO! Jesus IS coming soon!☝🏼
I saw Jesus Revolution Feb. 19, 2023. For me it was fantastic. I thought the story was fantastic as well as the acting. I have told quite a few people about it and when it was showing in theaters. I've told Christians as well as non-Christians about it.
I saw the movie on Wednesday and loved it. Very human and moving. It shows the emotion of these real people they're portraying - their strengths and weaknesses. Very moving artistic moments on our humanity.
Jonathan Roumie, in interviews about this film, tells a story of when he was out in the water and the baptisms were being filmed, that one of the extras participating in this, came up close to him between takes and asked if her baptism could be done for real. Well, Johnathon was not expecting that one, but agreed, so when it came her turn to be baptized it was not just acting but the real deal. And the young woman exited the scene, as Johnathan says, like she was like 30 lbs lighter, brimming with joy. What other film contains a behind the scenes story comparable to that?
It was an AWESOME movie!!!!! Thank you!!! I was part of the Jesus Revolution - in the North East, in Princeton, NJ - It was an amazing time, and the fire of Jesus was there. I am still radical for Jesus, and am so glad it was caught on film!!!
I loved the movie just saw it last night Feb 24, 23 and told alot of friends to go see it. Thank you all keep doing the work of Jesus and our own personal revival 💖
The movie was amazing! It's one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time! Very inspiring!! It's what this country (U.S.) needs so badly right now--another Jesus Revolution!!🙌✡📖✝🕊🕊🕊
I'm very excited and looking forward to watching the movie 🎥🍿. Pastor Greg and Cathie Laurie are those most beautiful couple and wonderful family. God Bless the, Jesus Revolution around the world. 🐑🏜️☝️😎❤️🌦️🌧️⛈️🌎
I can’t wait for the film because I lived through that period of time and came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the Jesus revolution! The book was excellent, and I have high hopes that the film might inspire this next generation to seek the truth found in the Bible
I know what you mean. J. Roumie’s portrayal of Jesus was so well done. We needed this during COVID. I have to remind myself, he is not really Jesus. But what a sincere depiction!!!
I saw this movie. It is the best movie telling an amazing story. Kelsey Grammer is at the top with his portrayal of chuck smith. This a must see movie. This is where history needs to repeat itself now!
Received the Lord in 1975 attended both Calvary Chapel Riverside (now Harvest) and CCCM. Hadn’t heard Jimmy Kempner’s name in awhile but yes remember seeing Keith Green as well. Looking forward to seeing this.
I saw the movie twice, Loved it. I might go again. I was 16 in 1972 and remember a lot of the movement even though I was a little young to be involved.
I remember and love doing the 'One Way' finger pointing upward sign. The Jesus Revolution people weren't just Sunday only Christians. I got saved in '73 and remember buying the Love Song album then. This movie brought back precious memories.
This is a great behind-the-scenes look at this is a new one of my favorite movies all time now I absolutely love this movie I’m gonna take my whole family and all my friends to go see it. It’s at the big theater which means a lot to me and I love this I love this whole thing. I’m so thankful for this movie.

Would love to see and be a part of a new era of God centered entertainment, I hope this makes a ton of money to show the majors it’s profitable but more importantly that it changes the culture.
As someone who was there, and watching this clip- my only complaint so far is that they made Chuck look a little clueless. Also, they made Lonnie look too much like he was Jesus himself and that he was smarter than Chuck. Lonnie was street-smart, but childlike at the same time. But I am looking fwd to seeing it.
I lived through it. It is accurate. We only see a small segment of what was going on. It was a lot more than the movie shows. Sadly, a lot of people who were "experimenting" died.
Very interesting, can't wait to see this movie. I had to stop watching this behind the scenes as I can't stand seeing people in those stupid masks. What gives? Some are wearing it and some aren't. It just brought back so many bad memories of seeing people fiddling with their masks all day. Looking forward to seeing the movie.
This movie was made during the height of covid - hence the masks. One thing this film will teach one is to not be so critical, judging, and condemning. We are to ask for the wisdom of the Lord and His Holy Spirit.
I was disapointed watching the frightened people wearing masks during the filming. Useless masks. God didn't give us a spirit of fear but if love, power and a sound mind.
Why if it is a so called in relationship to being a sound doctrine movie of a Jesus Christ movement are they showing a young couple making out? Don’t put this movie in the same class as a Holy and righteous God. Jesus doesn’t need you to promote a water down gospel of his word. It is never great to hear from people who don't know what they are talking about. I was there. this is a movie about something that happened, it is not a "new" gospel.
It’s depicting real life scenarios that these pastors experienced as well as God using their lives in profound ways. It’s not cookie cutter, that’s the good news.
