I bought this shoe last August, because of this review exclusively. It was, by far, one of the best decisions I've ever made. My knees and feet were aching the first couple of days. After that, I felt like I could stand, walk, and move around endlessly!!! I'm just now looking for a new pair of shoes and only because I've scuffed em up. Best pair of shoes I've ever owned. Thanks a lot for the suggestion!
This is by far and away the most in depth, detailed, intelligent, and well researched shoe review I have ever seen. I ended up ordering a pair of these I hope they do the trick. It took many days and many hours in those days to research the right shoe for my issues and thanks to this guys review and a few videos to understand that roll bar technology I feel much more confident ordering these. Thank you so much for the great review.
Super review. Lots of info, more than most, and economic delivery. I have this shoe, and it is fantastic. No more heel spur pain, and very easy on Morton's Neuroma. Worth every penny!
I had the 990 V5 and I deal with a lot of stairs daily. I also had the 928's and noticed on nights when I walked downstairs wearing the 928's my knees felt great. In fact, I could almost go down as fast as a kid. Then when i wore the 990's my knees ached. The 928's look clunky but are great.
Great information and review, just one important clarification needs to be made. The 928 is NOT a rocker bottom shoe. It has a roll bar but not a rocker sole or bottom. People get very confused when the two terms are used. And for certain foot conditions a rocker bottom sole can be very damaging! For example, those with Achilles Tendonitis should never wear a rocker bottom! It can further irritate the tendon and even cause a partial tear because the rocker tips you backwards onto your heel. In fairness, yours is not the only review to get this wrong. I have seen reviews by podiatrists who also call it a rocker bottom shoe. New Balance says the 928 is not a rocker bottom shoe. It has roll bar technology. The distinction is important for the reason given above. Rocker bottoms can be damaging to certain foot conditions. Thanks for listening and for your review.
When is New Balance going to come out with a version 4? The tongue is way to short on the v3 and New Balance really needs to make it longer. Otherwise, great shoe.
Black shoes and a black jacket doesn’t make for the best display…otherwise great information. I really wanted to see the rocker portion in greater detail, however.
I just got these and I am a little scared to be honest. I have the 990 and the 1540 because I have plantar fasciitis. New balance workers said this would help too so I am giving it a chance but not sure how i fell with the rocking
Although different, the 928 is in the same family of the other shoes you mentioned. More similar to the 1540 than the 990. I’m sure if you like the 1540, the 928 will work well for you.
You’re wearing black. The shoe is black. I couldn’t see the shoe. Tighten the camera’s a bit more. The shoe is the subject not the background. But I love your expert opinion.

Thanks for informing us about its accommodation for orthotics.

Such a true and genuine review by Shoe Solutions.

Wish they had the white outsole version of these shoes

928 has a roll bar but it is not a rocker bottom or rocker sole shoe. Roll bar technology is different.
