    You will see interviews with:
John Giblett. A legendary JSASTC/RNSA yachtsman who was heavily involved with Hornet and two Whitbread races. He then became a professional yacht skipper/manager and has a bottomless barrel of salty dits about ocean racing.
Michael Stovin-Bradford, the son of our founder Freddie, recorded from his home in Australia, with memories of his father.
Alison McFadyen and Nick Boxall. Alison was a young WRNS Officer in the 1979 Fastnet race. It didn’t put her off and she has sailed ever since. Currently married to Nick and preparing Whimbrel for some blue ocean adventures.
Mike Buggy. Has been at Hornet since the late 1960s and there isn’t much he hasn’t sailed. He has owned a couple of very interesting boats and surveyed many more. Mike has been closely involved in writing the history of the Club and has another endless supply of dits and anecdotes about the Club and its members.
Mike Shrives. Until 2017 Mike was the General Secretary of RNSA. He has a long sailing pedigree and had an unusual Service career - having served in submarines, flown helicopters and commanded a warship. Mike has a unique perspective of RNSA racing over three decades.
Peter Wykeham-Martin. A ‘Hornet Original’ who sailed here from the late 1950s on his Father’s boat. His father was an early Club Chairman. Peter was in the first Whitbread Round the World Race and raced with a number of Class 1 professional yacht crews throughout the 1970-1990s. He was RORC’s general Manager, ran a sailing events company and is still a ‘measurer’. He was the Club Commodore from 2015 to 2020.
Martin Pound was christened at the Club and has sailed here ever since. A ‘Gaffer’ at heart, he is a highly competitive sailor who has competed in several Three Peaks Races - and won the 2017 event.
