Becca, the new paint color is very calming and is a nice change. I also really liked the green color and it was a great contrast. The room was beautiful at Christmas with the green wall. The new rug beautifully completes the room!
Marsha, thank you! The green really is pretty ... I think I was just ready for change since I've had it in this room for about a year. I still have it in a couple of other rooms, BUT that might change soon, too, lol. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I really like the new color & sailboat painting. On the sofa table, I'd luv to see the candle holders removed & the large vase slid over to the right - I think it would balance the lamp/coral. And remove the vases on each side of the painting and maybe have 2 candle holders on each side. Just ideas! The room has a nice quiet calm feel about it 🤍

I personally am not a beige/tan “person” but you totally rocked this makeover. Very coastal…which i love. Besides Ivy and Charlie my favorite is the whole mantle decor subject and placement. The glass ball garland under the rowboat resting on the sandy beach reminds me of lake buoys. PERFECT touch! . .

Hi Becca. You are a force to be reckoned with as they say. I don't know where you get your energy and strength to change up your paint colors. I am just a tad jealous. 😮 You do a fantastic job and I admire the fact that you're not afraid to change your wall color. Good morning Becca. I love the wall color. I’ve been contemplating painting our halls a lighter color and this just might be it. The room looks beautiful and you inspire me to change some of my decor. I found some pretty patriotic plates at Kirkland so I have already decorated my dining room for July 4th. Love it. Told you before I live in Faith,NC and we celebrate Independence Day the whole week before the 4th. If the weather cooperates I may go ahead and decorate my front porch this weekend. I think your new paint color is really pretty. I love that you do the painting yourself...shows us we could do it! All of your decor and the style of it is beautiful. I love the new large vase on your sofa table. The glass garland on the mantle looks like bubbles you might see on the sea foam too...lovely and very light. I love all of the books...the Vera Bradley one looks interesting at least I think it's Vera Bradley. I love the boat print too...a great added touch! Oh wow! I never know what to expect you always surprise! I think the color is definitely calming and I love it with your white. The room is very nice, so pulled together. I like the lighter color on the walls, I feel that it opens up the space a bit more. The only thing I would change is the pillows. I would use the striped side as I feel it is more coastal, but the plaid is nice too. As I have said it before, I love your house and your decorating style. Have a great weekend!

Such a pretty and calming room! I love the new paint, changes are fun. My living room has been painted a very soft, kiwi like green for about the last 8 years. I have loved it, but it really limits the colors I can use in there. So, I have chosen Benjamin Moore's "Barely Beige" to re-paint this fall. It is very similar you your color! Have a great week!! 😊

Becca I have been waiting for this to see if I was right and had to laugh because our minds kind of think I like. I was waiting to see the color you were going to paint.haha I knew we would see a new color and you didn’t disappoint. You have been so blessed with amazing God given talent . I’ve been inspired to pick up my paintbrush and do some painting myself! I’m starting with a wood barrel planter that needs a coating of oil and then I’m moving on to the living room. I chose Dover white, I can’t wait. Thank you for all the inspiration!!

Loving the new light beige walls. I’ve told you before, I just had my walls in the kitchen , 1/2, bath and family room painted Mocha Light by Behr. I love the light taupes against the white doors, trim and accents. It is very calming. I’m going to have the foyer and hall painted that color next year. My living room is a room all by itself to the left of the foyer. That room is my favorite, and it’s been “Chocolate Mousse” for years, by Benjamin Moore. Love it! It’s like a coffee with cream and has a pink undertone, which goes well with my pink accents for spring/ summer. I love the greens also. Thats why I love your home so much, and enjoy watching you create your magic. Your room turned out beautiful. Question! Im looking for a light weight throw for my bedroom to take a nap with. What is your favorite for summer?

The layering of rugs…. I’ve never done that until 30 minutes ago!! Bought a vintage rug smaller than I really needed and hubby said, “Let’s layer it!” Well, well, well…. That’s what we did!

I adore your style. Your rooms are stunning. I get your comfort with mirroring and having things equal. However, that is NOT symmetry. Symmetry does not mean identical. It simply means balanced and harmonious, but not necessarily mirror image The lamp on one side with candle holders on the other are balanced and harmonious... the ARE SYMMETRIC.
That really means a lot to me, Robin. Thank you! And thank you for helping me accept the sofa table styling is symmetrical because, unless what's on the left matches what's on the right, my life feels unbalanced, lol.
