Filey Kite Festival 2021

The first Filey Kite Festival was held over the weekend of the 18th and 19th of September 2021 at Filey Brigg Country Park, North Yorkshire.
The sun was out and there was a light wind on the Saturday morning so we got out Tracey our Peter Lynn Trilobite, she's lovely to fly and is great for a light wind. Mid morning the wind changed direction by about 90 degrees causing a few of us to have to move - great teamwork from everyone involved with the move!
The wind was coming off the sea on Sunday morning which can be challenging when flying on a headland but once we got the kites high enough they found the wind. Mid afternoon the rain made an appearance but it didn't stop us seasoned fliers from carrying on.
It was a lovely weekend and we're looking forward to Filey Kite Festival 2022.
