hi Stewart, great video and an excellent name for the spider - the logic was superb. I did check the Crafty Bells shop but they are unable to send the diffusers currently due to the Covid19 virus. I will keep an eye out on their site as i have the Canon Twin Lite MT-24EX and although i have diffusers fitted on each light the reflection in the image always shows two blocks whereas that bonnet shows a much better refection - as in you spiders eyes. Looking forward to more videos in the future.
Hi Erich, the reason why we are not sending the bonnets internationally is that it would cost you, the customer, too much for shipping. Presently shipping is only $10.00 AUD for the Bonnet only but if you were to pay for tracking it would be a further $11.00 to $18.00 AUD depending where in the world you are located. I would gladly send an order if a customer wishes to pay that much extra for tracking. I will be trying again tomorrow to get some through the system so I'll let you know.
Hi Stewart, great video. These are your beautiful pets. Greetings from Poland (p.s. what do you think about Sigma 105 mm f / 2.8 EX DG OS HSM Macro and Nikon APS-C?)
And that shows clearly how these tiny animals with what certain consider as simple (to simple!) brain could be smart. Considering that they don't consider an animal as big as us not as a threat. Spiders are not biting monsters, they are simply animals, and they could be smart. Jumping spiders as most derived ones shows clearly that.
Thank you so much for your tips. You truly have made it easy for me to learn macro which is one of my favorite photography. I have a Canon 80D I just want to ask whats best lens for macro that has great focus. I do have a macro 100mm. I really dislike taking multiple images then photo stacking on Photoshop. I really want to eliminate that step. My mount is EF to my Canon 80D.
Jumpers can be purchased online (depending on local laws) but can also be found in back yards all over the world. they come out during warm sunny days and can usually be found on brick walls, Window mesh and tree bark Find out which kinds you have in your area and they should be easy to find. As for care, Stewart has a great video with tips on enclosure and another on basic care that I highly recommend.
You can see how I edited the images from this shoot here: ruclips.net/video/AqwiVeQUGLM/видео.html

4:57 what material is the diffuser made of?
Hi Pierluigi, It is made of a specially sourced foam to allow the flash to be used at low power. Covered with a rain resistant material.
