- One of Roberto's best characterization is Edgardo in "Lucia di Lammermoor"... but even more : Edgar in "Lucie de Lammermoor", the French version of Donizetti's masterpiece. These operas are not exactly identical (a different 1st aria for Lucie for example) and Edgar's part is not in the same key as Edgardo...
Here is the last part of Edgar's great scene : "... Mais qui faut-il que je pleure ?... Oh, bel ange dont les ailes..."
Conductor : Evelino Pido / Stage direction : Patrice Caurier & Moshe Leiser
Recorded in Lyon, in 2000.
Alagna, merveilleux ! Cette version en français est aussi magnifique. Cette voix ! Quelle émotion ! Quelle interprétation ! Merci
This is wonderful - expressively sung and performed. When Mr Alagna is in character, clearly the text he is singing MEANs something - and here, the "something" is heartbreaking. Thank you so much for sharing!
Belle interprétation, belle version en français,
j'adore . Bravo encore une fois Roberto. Merci pour ces merveilleux moments
long live alagna!!!
C'est vraiment magnifique! But why on earth don't the French show the original version? La Lucia di Lammermoor è scritta in italiano!
I must said i like this version the very best!
oh oui, quelle émotion!! Bravo Roberto
Was this the one w/ Dessay? If so I want the DVD. Mr. Alagna sounds great.
The best Edgar!
Thank you MUEZZAB!
maybe for the same reason the Italians show French operas in Italian - or so they did years ago
hajrá, magyarok... nekem is nagyon tetszett!
quelle différence avec le Calaf d'Orange 2012 bravo Roberto
