It looks like Max's website is down. (the creator of the plugin) Today, Wayne Hill posted an update that there is still a copy on the waybackmachine. Link on the last page of the forum post. If that doesn't work, maybe I can reach out to Max on the forum and see if he's ok with me posting it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@liminal4d Hey! I am sad to report it seems most if not all of the .zip files linked in the waybackmachine don't work. Thank you for your help though!

@@liminal4d Awesome man. Thanks for the reply. I really like all your tech info. And your sense of humor. Been learning Rhino. Its so amazing. Big smiles Liminal4D.
@@liminal4d Hi Liminal4D, I have alot to learn in Rhino. But After using Moi3D, ViaCAD 12 pro, Alibre Atom, Blender, Q-cad, Turbocad 2019 deluxe, and many other programs. It's finally sinking in. I also bought a really nice 3d printer and a mini 3040 cnc machine. At this point I have a really good working knowledge of these tools. ViaCAD is my main go to program when I model things to print. But Moi3d and now Rhino are such fun programs. I have Moi so loaded with every feature possible, Really having fun learning the node editor. The Moi forums are so wonderful. Pilou's Elephant repository on the node editor is stacked with info. Learning how all the scripts and add ons work in Moi just amazes me. At certain points I never thought I could figure it all out. But just like in your videos, persistance, determination and focus will get you there. I really listen to the knowledge you share in your videos. Thank you Liminal4D. p.s. I make lots of parts to fix items around the house. And lots of Quadcopter parts, and Rc airplane designs. Big smiles Liminal4D.

This is soo clear, and i figured out that there is something wrong with my version >_> some script error (function is missing or smth). Ill figure it out man thanks for the video, and you are the first to post this video on this topic. And i hope more ppl will know about this.
Hey man, this is great stuff. As someone that's been using Rhino for ages, I am trying to find a simpler software that doesn't require tedious surface rebuilding while doing simple fillets.... The only thing that is bothering me is that all the scripts have to be downloaded and then mapped to shortcuts... Is there a way to have all of the available scripts appear in the program like in Rhino? That would be a huge time saver for me! Thanks
I don't think Moi 3d has a command prompt. But you might try installing this command line and autocomplete and see if it will work for you: moi3d.com/forum/lmessages.php?webtag=MOI&msg=7280.1
oh and another software you might want to kick the tires on is shapr3d. It's now available for desktop. The filleting tools are insane, better than moi in that regard. Moi is still the champ of clean simple modelling, in my opinion, but the way shapr3d fillets and chamfers might make it a good option if you're using rhino in tandem.
Either I did something wrong with install (the 2.0 beta) or it doesn`t work with version 4.0. A pity. Guess I have to make a clean reinstall now. Also is the mannequin no longer available?
the 2.0 beta should work with v4. this one: moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&msg=6507.268 Also, make sure you run the moi software as administrator when starting the software. It needs the admin privileges so it can write and save the thumbnails and models automatically to the hard drive. let me know if that works
Installing it your way I can at least see the buttons (some work, script button is there twice, subd buttons say missing plugin ) , but have no + and can not write into the white field of the object lib. When I install it the c/user/app/roam way I have no buttons below at all. All starting as admin... so I am kind of stuck.
@@jakisator7333 hmm, ok. I installed and ran this on v3. I'll try to do this with the latest v4 and see if I get the same issue. let you know what I find once I'm able to try this.
@Jakisator sorry for the delay getting back to you. I got it to work. I've installed the new v4 release, it's officially out now! woot. Ok so, head over to the forums following this link: moi3d.com/forum/index.php?webtag=MOI&final_uri=discussion.php%3Fwebtag%3DMOI%26msg%3D6507.1 In the top right of this forum thread click on the 441-452 link. This will take you to the most recent posts on this thread. Scroll down to the 12th post on the thread, it's from Michael Gibson. Follow those instructions and it will work. Here's the quick version: 1. use the 2.0 beta (download and unzip anywhere) 2. type Win+R to open the windows run command 3. type in the following: %AppData%\Moi 4. hit enter and it will open up moi's appdata folder 5. copy 2.0 beta contents into the appdata folder. Note: the startup folder already exists in appdata so just copy the contents from the zip folder startup file to the existing appdata start up file. 5. run moi v4 as adminstrator and it should work great!
Hi I need your help!!! Checked out the forums and was hard to find it... Looks like my objectlibrary icons are missing... How do i also install the ExtScript commands inside the CustomUI
I could have made this tutorial better and explained that some scripts don't carry over well in newer versions. They're community made and not perfect.
Check out the website for their licensing options, I don't keep up on the details. To see the points, their is a button on the right side panel. Hover mouse over the buttons and it will tell you their name. Look for the one called "show points" Hopefully the google translate worked and this helps.
Some of these no longer work with the latest version and others have a better version already integrated in v4. The main thing this is for is the object library, anything else that doesn't work or you don't want, just delete from the folders.
Alot of the scripts require a certain procedure. Create a new file on your desktop, Then extract the scripts or plugins, Then drag the extracted file into the new folder on your desktop, Click on the file, Then Right click Properties, At the bottom in the security box, click unblock. Now you can take this file, drag and drop it into, C drive, Program files, Moi 4.0, UI subfolder. I have all the addons working in both Moi 3.0 and 4.0. Also the node editor is so amazing. Type in Moi3d node editor wiki. And at the bottom Pilou has the elephant repository with so much amazing info.
The main reason for this plugin is the object library and that still works in 4.0. Some of the plugin's features no longer work, and others aren't needed as moi 4.0 has better stuff built in.
Also, if you have issues installing in 4.0, check out the comments. I message with Jakisator here in this comment section and share some troubleshooting tips to get it working fine.
