  • Journey into the mind of a 3D Generalist, and learn what it takes to create your own project from pre-production to post!
During this livestreamed event, Sonja Christoph - whose credits include Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Dr. Strange, Tomorrowland, Agent Carter, Carne y Arena, The Division 2, and Adidas spot “Climawarm” - will give a behind-the-scenes look at her process and pipeline for creating personal projects.
From pre-production planning through to final post-processing, Sonja will offer tips for staying organized and tracking your progress when tackling large scenes. She’ll also share why certain software tools are her preferred choice when working at home, such as Blender for modeling and conception, Clip Studio Paint for drawing, V-Ray and Autodesk 3ds Max for ray-traced rendering, and Unreal Engine and Evee for real-time rendering.

I watched most of this live on Twitch last week. Very cool stuff. Loved the process. Also, great to see someone using Unreal to create still images. And I loved that she was getting into Blender. Really good video, highly recommended. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

@jeh HA!!! No hate towards toward C4D or Houdini at all. Blender has just allowed me to do some simple things I couldn't do other ways for free (and being totally honest I just don't have the money or the need right now to justify C4D or Houdini). Your line about using a Mac for any real work did make me laugh. Best of luck with all of your projects, stay safe, and thanks for the laugh, needed it today. Take care.

At 5:30 you mention the name of the artist and both me and the yt automated captioning understood something along the lines Tech Con Concrete, which I'm pretty sure isn't the case
