this rc f isnt a track car.. its more of a japanese muscle car best for highway cruising based on its weight and its one hell of a daily driver car but no for track.
It's not a track car. But it can become one pretty easily. Especially the 2015 models without AVS suspension settings. You can easily swap them for fully slow and high speed setting coilovers that will bring that thing to live. Fin tuning can be done with the ad of traditionnal sway bars. Also, it can be made lighter of a good 100 kg with some very easy tricks. It's actually a well appreaciated car in the japanese tuning scene for reliable touge application.
If he had driven in manual, he would have knocked 2-3 secs off the time. He said the RC F is like a box of chocolates-you never know what you are going to get? I say stupid is as stupid does.
I have one, best sport car that can be a daily driver period. Awesome interior quality, exterior design is not for everyone, but it def. turns heads which is what I like. Performance can be improved, but for what I use the car for, it's more than adequate, so everyone stop getting your panties in a bunch.
I don't know why but this car is fucking awesome to me, I was lucky enough to drive one that belongs to my buddy, and it's not perfect but it's so much fun to cane the shit out of it! People base their opinions on this car on reviews they read, but in person, it's such a fun car to drive. Not perfect, not beautiful, not even slightly practical, but it's so fucking fun! And let's be honest, us car guys don't want perfection, we don't want a car without flaws, because that is a car without character, a car without personality, we love flawed cars because they are fun.
for randy not to use the paddles is a crime ! the car does respond to inputs from the paddles very quickly . this is coming from an rcf owner so I have a good understand of how this transmission works
It's a first iteration. I don't understand all the negativity. They made a platform, and now they can fiddle and tweak, lighten and adjust things as they go along, improving the car. You have to start somewhere. You aren't going to start off with a masterpiece right away unless you get lucky these days.
They started the car on the wrong foot, that's what people don't like about it. They could've made a brand new chassis that's lighter and more rigid than this using technology from the lfa and some of that maybe true but they half assed it by combining chassis instead of making a new one. I don't want to hate it but it's really easy. The car is 68 lbs lighter than the new cts-v and heavier than the c63 amg. That's not right. The only good thing about this car is the engine and that's about it. They even said torque is a bit low but oh well. Do you get what I'm saying? I'm not wanting to be a dick, I want a good conversation.
+enigmaPL First itereation or not, this car simply isn't good compared to the other cars. You can't give it points for being a "First iteration" when comparing it to other cars.
+Lupiv How can you be absolutely sure that it isn't good? And WHY is it not good? I drove one recently on the track and the road, and yes, it is in no way perfect, and it's not as fast as an M4 or other competition, but why do you want the fastest and best performing car? If I buy a car, I want it to be FUN. The M4, while a masterpiece, is clinical in every way, and quite boring, the RC F on the other hand is heaps of fun, the engine sounds amazing the power is enough for it's size and it gives you the impression that it knows it isn't the greatest car, but it doesn't want to be, it doesn't give a single fuck about it's competition. Lexus don't have a long history of sports cars, and after the LFA, they don't need to prove anything to anyone. If all you look for is numbers on your cars stat card, go buy the M4, and be boring like everyone else, let the rest of us have fun.
+Roger Toledo I'm kinda late to this but fuck it. I really don't get why people are so down on this car, and Lexus to be honest. Yes, this is not better than it's competition on paper, but why are people demanding that Lexus makes cars to compete? They don't need to prove anything after the LFA, we know exactly what they can do. I think the RC F is a great car, simply because it's different, it's got quirks, faults and personality. It's fun, unlike the M4 and the C63. and that is all it needs in my book. High performance cars these days are getting really boring, all companies put out is better stats on paper. Yes, it's good that we get more performance, but in reality, you're never really going to use it, so having all the power in the world means nothing. There are only a few really fun cars being made today, and this is one of them, people should be happy about that.
Look at all the people who think they know about cars talk down on this beast. Smh, go see it in person, drive it, think about the Lexus brand's reliability then come back and make a fairly logical (if that's possible) conclusion/statement. Seriously. Lexus IS the best brand on the market...
+Oscar Tobar I believe it is a good product too. There must some kind of malfunction with this RCF. In Willow Springs did record a time almost the same as a BMW M4 Quality and the ferocious engine are pretty strong for this category.
+Oscar Tobar I agree with Jason from Motor Trend. Lexus should learn something from what they did wrong to RC F, to make a better performance coupe in the future. IS and GS are such amazing product lines. RC F shouldn't be that wrong.
Randy didn't have the car in manual mode. This made the gearing slow. I have a GS and because all lexus's use this shift program I noticed this immediately. 1:47 you can see the light that displays which gear its in is horizontal and at the bottom. if you look up a picture of the RCF gear selector, you'll see that light is for the D gear and not manual (where the light would be on the left and vertical).
even after the review, I'm more intrigued about this car. I like unique cars. I'm sure they will work out the shift reprogramming. Let's face it through, who is really going to take these on the track? It probably is alot of fun on the road. I'll tell you one thing, it sounds like a race car.
If you think about it, the RC series is basically a concept car that made its way into the market for people as some sort of a beta test before they make a facelift (probably around 2018-2019)... and a next-gen RC around 2021.
When I first heard that Lexus was making this car, I had really high hopes. Even when the specs were released and the first lap times were put down, I still had hope that it would just take some time for drivers to get used to it. Now I'm thinking that Lexus really messed up, which is sad because this had the potential to be a new enthusiast favorite. Too much weight, sketchy transmission, and not enough torque to compete with its competition. What makes me even more sad is that Lexus engineers refuse to acknowledge these shortcomings when asked about them in interviews. If they do not rectify these problems in then next few years or at least by the time they do a refresh for this model, I doubt it will last long and will end up being discontinued, which would be a real shame.
During it's spinout... what car is that ahead of the RCF for filming? That must be a fun ride for the cameraman. Do they do a slow lap just to get shots of the car from the front? I'm thinking not because I don't think he spun out on purpose, which would mean he was drivin' it pretty hard.
***** Because I don't lease cars, I always buy them. And German cars have been pretty bad with reliability these days. Mercedes also uses some of the dumbest rotor/brakes in the business. Is the Mercedes a flat-out better performance vehicle? Sure. But who is going to take any of these cars to their limit? There are not many people who are going to do that. Therefore I'd rather have the interior and design of the Lexus over the Mercedes.
Basically for it to be a "track" car, Lexus would have to trim out the heavy luxury bits and install a manual. I don't think Lexus aimed for this car to be a race car. It's basically a comfy luxury ride with an awkward amount of sportiness built in.
I've recently purchased a 2015 IS 350 f-sport (not much, I know), but I can confidently say that, if I won the lottery, Lexus would be at the top of my list for "daily driver luxury". Such a lovely car (gorgeous, IMHO - despite the automotive journalist "agreement" that it's ugly) that is pleasantly fun to drive. Pleasantly fun to drive while being both gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The Germans are faster, but the reliability of Lexus will always draw me to their direction.
Christopher,In manual mode, it locks the torque converter. Randy drove in auto-mode, and the car will not engage the same way. Admittedly, it takes time to learn this car. The shifts are amazing at peak rpm for both downshift and upshifts. It auto-blips as well.
It's definitely more of a GT car than anything. Although people never will stop this sort of competition, it shouldn't be compared to something like the BMW M4, they are pretty different cars.
+Domino E It weighs over 2 tons as much as the CTS-V with a supercharger. It is slower than a mustang GT and it doesn't come in stick. A compact 2wd car is not supposed to weigh that much.
The CTS-V weighs 4100 pounds and the RCF weighs 4040 pounds. The supercharger weighs an extra 100 pounds on top of the V8 CTS-V. The M4 weighs 3500 pounds and the ATS-V weighs 3700 pounds. The GTR with Awd drive weighs around 3800 pounds with twin turbo that adds weight.
Handling inconsistencies is probably due to it being a TVD diff car with driver aids off but TVD obviously always on. Would be better with non TVD diff car and then turning off all driver aids.
I expected the 8spd auto in a Lexus F model to be tuned better: the MT guys should have put it in full attack mode yet it keep BOUNCING off the rev limiter. A nice cruiser, but NOT a track car. Heck I think the ATS-V is a better car than this.
Chris Harris said it best if Lexus had gave anything of what they learned from the LFA program to this car it would be a great car but instead they cut corners.
Definitely a "Grand Tourer" or GT, not a track star Has the engine and breaks, but the weight, transmission and handling work against it A car you'll love on a curvy mountain road at 8/10 pressure.
+Dan Chen Unfortunately, big horsepower does not equal a good driver's car. The Hellcat twins are great for going in a straight line, but they are just too overpowered, and heavy for this sort of duty.
I seem to be the only person who thinks this car looks better than all it's German competitors...After a few years of tweaking and dieting, this car will be amazing.
Bob M. Tyranny Destroyer yeah, but I was expecting the caddilac to be better though, since they have put quite a lot of resources into evolving the CTS V even more money into the V series than the development of the their SUV and some of their trucks. quite a lot of attention to cadillacs these days
Toyota4Life I just think you're biased. I never said this car was a failure, but MT reviews this as a bad car. Jeremy loves the Lexus LFA which is why he was disappointed that this car hasn't captured any of the good points that the LFA had; nimble, dignified, and a piece of engineering excellence. also dont assume i never watched others, because I'm subscribed to 7 other car shows in RUclips, carthrottle for one. I just think this car looks ugly and could have been like a Lexus LFA with 4 seats (obviously with less power ). but it's not.... My opinion is mine, i respect yours but I can't like this car, specially if the Lexus ISF sport 200T looks and drives better, and a hella lot cheaper.
Toyota4Life dude, priced as much as an M3, no where near as fast as one. sorry mate, this car that you love so much isnt that great. looks striking yeah, but not pretty. just admit you're biased to this car, your name says it all. if i was to get a car in this segment i'd rather get the Caddy ATS-V. looks good, fast, not overdone. also, it is faster than most cars in the road, when you consider honda civics, nissan micras and then some OBVIOUSLY, i know the ISF 200t isnt as fast as this, i never said it was, but i'd rather have that than this thing.
Anjeluvadavis Well if you are not going to track days there is no point getting the m4. You might as well get the lexus and save a few bucks. On the other note the lexus was quicker against the m4 at big willow. I think the car weights 300 pounds to much and is looks like a fat person so I would not buy it. If it was my money I would get a c63 amg or a tesla.
Oh motortrend.. you are jeopardising the credibility of your entire test panel by letting this cruiser in. I'm not saying it's a bad car, it's just not a pure drivers cars and wasn't ment that way either.
This car just looks all over the place. Even before these gen of cars officially came out everyone knew it wouldnt go anywhere decent, i guess the lack of experience is showing (Lfa). For the price you could literally get 2x more performance with another car.
Daniel Duong no one mentions lexus for a reason... are we really having this convo? Did you watch the same video as everyone else did? The rcf is trash, it's heavy, lacks hp and torque, horrible transmission etc etc... the ISF is trash as well and lexus is going backwards instead if progressing. There's a reason why lexus isnt mentioned. It's not underrated at all. Shit even their best lexus car LFA is trash and look how much it costs? Only thing nice about them it's the look. A gtr would own an LFA and cost what again? Oh yeah literally 1/4 of ONE LFA. Nough said
+Jonathan Pontel tbh I'm sick and tired of supercars. No I'm not jelly of them. They're just proven to be fast, pretty much it. Some lack spirit. But it's more interesting having cars like the Miata or the Rcf. No they're not the best or fastest cars in the world but they have different feels, characteristics. Just having a lambo and some Bugatti and a venom GT in the best drivers car would be so obvious who will win a drag race and a fastest lap time. Plus most super cars are now being so filled with fanboys that probably even never driven the car they there a fanboy with, which ruins the car popularity imo.
thw GSF is the better car all around. the RCF is not that great. im a lexus tech and i can assure you the GSF is where its at. the extra 13k for one is wayyyyyy worth it. also the shifting stuff is true on all lexus cars. its very random sometimes and depends on how the person and the way the car learns the driver. easy way to het rid of that - unplug the battery over night.
having this car with an "F" on the side is like putting an AMG badge on a smart car. i would sue toyota if i owned an LFA and tell them to take the f's off of the cars because they are bastardizing my car.
my 2002 tii has stayed in the family for generations. its foul to say its unreliable. if you don't know what a bmws 2002 it is, please go back and read more about reliable german engineering (except for the part that includes Volkswagen)
toyota doesn't know how to make sports cars anymore, that's why they outsourced every one (FR-S to Subaru, Supra to BMW). Any Lexus with a F badge should be a track capable, this car just isn't. I'm not saying this car sucks, RC-F is one of the best quality comfortable high speed cruisers ! But any one that picks this over a M4 is just not a car enthusiast.
This car along with the FT-86 gives me enough reason to believe that Toyota is lost in the performance world. I hope they don't put "Supra" on the back of their next disaster, ruining a legendary name plate.
i don't wanna sound biased, but 3 or 4 years ago they had the LF-A in this "best driver's car", and they rank it 6th place, i mean, how the hell you rank the LF-A in the 6th place, i remember him saying that it needs a pro to handle it, but the truth is, if you'r gonna buy this thing and go to some tracks and races you have to be a good driver.....now the RC-F...i am not talking about the lap time, lexus did a big mistake by making it too heavy, but, in the driving section i am sure it's not that bad....i feel like the one who drove all the cars is a bit of a hater....that's my opinion!
this rc f isnt a track car.. its more of a japanese muscle car best for highway cruising based on its weight and its one hell of a daily driver car but no for track.

+Michael Persiano Exaaaaaaaaaaaaaaactly...
Holy balls, AMG is the boss
corvette zr1 and New Viper make 1:33 i think low. search in this channel
I have one, best sport car that can be a daily driver period. Awesome interior quality, exterior design is not for everyone, but it def. turns heads which is what I like. Performance can be improved, but for what I use the car for, it's more than adequate, so everyone stop getting your panties in a bunch.
I don't know why but this car is fucking awesome to me, I was lucky enough to drive one that belongs to my buddy, and it's not perfect but it's so much fun to cane the shit out of it! for randy not to use the paddles is a crime ! the car does respond to inputs from the paddles very quickly . this is coming from an rcf owner so I have a good understand of how this transmission works
I agree. I have noticed a few oddities in sport s+ auto. Manual mode, paddle shifts are the only way to aggressively drive the RCF.
+wartowne yes the transmission isn't the best ...I only drive in manual mode
Who tracks a car in Auto mode, LOLz
Randy is completely biased against anything but american cars and should have given it up years ago.
It's a first iteration. I don't understand all the negativity. They made a platform, and now they can fiddle and tweak, lighten and adjust things as they go along, improving the car. You have to start somewhere. You aren't going to start off with a masterpiece right away unless you get lucky these days.
They started the car on the wrong foot, that's what people don't like about it. this looks so good, I would rather have this than an M4.
who cares if it doesn't handle 100% well
After the supremely excellent LF-A, it's unfortunate this was the best Lexus could do. Watching this video, I can feel the weight and understeer.
atleast it's very reliable. not might be very good in performance but it will last
this car is pretty decent
+Oscar Tobar
I believe it is a good product too.
There must some kind of malfunction with this RCF. In Willow Springs did record a time

😍😍😍😍 RC-F!!! A true JDM muscle car!!!!
These videos are great. The last clip paired with his closing statement was pretty funny
why doesn't he use the manual paddle shift mode?
For all of you talking so negatively. Look at the tire rack video. He didn't have any of the issues he was having in this video...
I sat in one of these today. Soooo nice.

thanks for the video makes Monday a good day

Secret to this car? swift springs, meisterschaft exhaust. Best all around car out there after those two mods(exhaust proven to add 40hp).
If you think about it, the RC series is basically a concept car that made its way into the market for people as some sort of a beta test before they make a facelift (probably around 2018-2019)... and a next-gen RC around 2021.

amazing car, looks great, sounds great.

I thought this competition is supposed to be about best driver's cars? LOL
I would still buy this over the Mercedes and the Mazda.. It'd be a toss-up between this and the CTS-V for me.
+RUclips Aneesh No shit you'd prefer it over the Miata lol but over the Merc? I don't understand why
+Imad S I think it looks better than the Merc, but without manual options and due to the sloppy handling it would be ATS-V all the way.
***** Because I don't lease cars, I always buy them. And German cars have been pretty bad with reliability these days. Mercedes also uses some of the dumbest rotor/brakes in the business. +RUclips Aneesh Agree with that.
No way in hell this car is making best drivers car. Motortrend already knows the winner is either the AMG GT S or the Corvette Z06
+xFreshKicks08 its the amg, for a good reason
It's the AMG GT S, it has already been revealed
+MarcoPiperr where did they announce it? They normally would reveal after Thursday
+MarcoPiperr prove it
+MarcoPiperr Thanks for the spoilers dumbass
The RC F is basically a modern day equivalent of the Chevelle
Basically for it to be a "track" car, Lexus would have to trim out the heavy luxury bits and install a manual. I don't think Lexus aimed for this car to be a race car. It's basically a comfy luxury ride with an awkward amount of sportiness built in.
Was the LFA ever a best driver's car contender?
I've recently purchased a 2015 IS 350 f-sport (not much, I know), but I can confidently say that, if I won the lottery, Lexus would be at the top of my list for "daily driver luxury". Feel of a material overwhelms a rival. The painting in particular is splendid.
Both Audi and BMW are only junk if they compare it with Lexus.
They should have offered a manual transmission.
If it's a m4 competitor then they gotta atleast have the same type of transmissions
They should have made a whole new car instead of the car they put out
+Christopher .WalkenPNW nope
Christopher,In manual mode, it locks the torque converter. Randy drove in auto-mode, and the car will not engage the same way. Admittedly, it takes time to learn this car. The shifts are amazing at peak rpm for both downshift and upshifts. It auto-blips as well.
+Christopher .WalkenPNW Lexus should just offer a manual in general....
Wow!! How come I've never ever heard of that triple platform combo before???? No wonder why it weighs as much as a dumper truck...
Good thing I would drive this car through the California hills and not the track. Phew... Dodged a bullet there
I actually like the way it looks. Very aggressive looking exterior
It's definitely more of a GT car than anything. Although people never will stop this sort of competition, it shouldn't be compared to something like the BMW M4, they are pretty different cars.
Randy, why not switching into manual mode?
I feel sorry for the people that wasted their money on this car. So many better options out there.
Randy you obviously had a problem with your test car. The reflashed RC F carbon TV is a beautiful thing.
I don't get the hate with this car
+Domino E It weighs over 2 tons as much as the CTS-V with a supercharger. It is slower than a mustang GT and it doesn't come in stick. A compact 2wd car is not supposed to weigh that much.
+Darrell Henley so a ctsv weighs 300 lbs.... And it's not a compact coupe
Darrell Henley it weights a little over 1700kg not over 2 tons
You can feel it scrubbing out in the corners. At least its comfortable and sounds good.
Handling inconsistencies is probably due to it being a TVD diff car with driver aids off but TVD obviously always on. Would be better with non TVD diff car and then turning off all driver aids.
Didnt expect it to get so smoked mt the M4 given the comparison a few months ago...
I expected the 8spd auto in a Lexus F model to be tuned better: the MT guys should have put it in full attack mode yet it keep BOUNCING off the rev limiter. A nice cruiser, but NOT a track car. Heck I think the ATS-V is a better car than this.
Would you consider it unsafe to drive at high speed. With the issue mention in the or dose car little tech tuning.
this engine feel like his pulling the car....so much sound and power from that engine and the gear box cant handle it
Chris Harris said it best if Lexus had gave anything of what they learned from the LFA program to this car it would be a great car but instead they cut corners.
Definitely a "Grand Tourer" or GT, not a track star
Has the engine and breaks, but the weight, transmission and handling work against it
A car you'll love on a curvy mountain road at 8/10 pressure.
It appears that 4000+ pound coupes light on torque just can't compete.
Would've liked to see a run in paddle shift mode...
What have they done to the sound?
Is the Dodge SRT Hellcat in contention this year?
+Dan Chen No, only decent cars were invited.
+Dan Chen Unfortunately, big horsepower does not equal a good driver's car. The Hellcat twins are great for going in a straight line, but they are just too overpowered, and heavy for this sort of duty.
***** That comment made sense. If the Hellcat was decent it would have been there.
for the next version of this car lexus:
1. fix the transmission
2. add 50 more lb ft torque
3. lose 300+ pounds
4. clean up interior
5. ????
6. profit
Just waiting for the Camaro video :)
I seem to be the only person who thinks this car looks better than all it's German competitors...After a few years of tweaking and dieting, this car will be amazing.
Please tell me that was an audio crackle at 2:00 and not the engine bouncing off the rev limiter...
That TVS diff is supposedly garbage, the car is much better with standard locking diff.
+camryt that seems to be the consensus. Great daily driver but save the money and avoid the carbon fiber performance package with the TVS diff
+camryt On the motortrend magazine they said tvs diff was the best but very pricey.
Ayyyye I'm waiting for the next isf drove the old one hella of a engine
No wonder why Jeremy was disappointed with this car
It's just horrible
It is quite sad that Cadillac makes a better track car..
Bob M. Tyranny Destroyer yeah, but I was expecting the caddilac to be better though, since they have put quite a lot of resources into evolving the CTS V
even more money into the V series than the development of the their SUV and some of their trucks.
quite a lot of attention to cadillacs these days
Harvard Ford
The new ATS V is quite amazing on the track!
Toyota4Life dude, priced as much as an M3, no where near as fast as one. sorry mate, this car that you love so much isnt that great.
looks striking yeah, but not pretty. just admit you're biased to this car, your name says it all.
if i was to get a car in this segment i'd rather get the Caddy ATS-V. looks good, fast, not overdone.
also, it is faster than most cars in the road, when you consider honda civics, nissan micras and then some
OBVIOUSLY, i know the ISF 200t isnt as fast as this, i never said it was, but i'd rather have that than this thing.
Sometimes I dislike videos... Before watching them.
And the BMW M4 did it in 1:39 minutes..... Why RC F, Y U SO HEAVYYYY
I have seen more of these than the m4 in my town. I saw like 3 the other day.
JDM 4 Lyf
Lol jk this car is what the rich guy who knows nothing about cars buy, actually no that's the m4
+MrLalasd Eewww Tesla
why are Randy's comments on RCF so different from his in TIRE RACK
Oh motortrend.. you are jeopardising the credibility of your entire test panel by letting this cruiser in. I'm not saying it's a bad car, it's just not a pure drivers cars and wasn't ment that way either.
Actually this car was meant to compete with BMW, it's a sport sedan and they really tried to market it as one.
AirsoftWarfareHD
Of course they market it that way.. What else are they gonna say, yeay it's crap around bends but it rides really nice!
+Peter Timowreef That would actually be some good marketing lol.
This car just looks all over the place. Even before these gen of cars officially came out everyone knew it wouldnt go anywhere decent, i guess the lack of experience is showing (Lfa). For the price you could literally get 2x more performance with another car.
Chances of this car to win = To the chances of my crush asking me out.
Again, why is this car here?
Because supercars and GTRs and Ferraris and Lambos are overrated.
+Daniel Duong so those cars are overrated and this pos lexus isnt? lol omg
+Jonathan Pontel Lexus IS underrated. Nobody even really mentions Lexus now a days. All is lambos and gold digger cars.
Now you've done it!
You have unleashed all the wrath and power of The Masons against you :)
Lexus logo and price tag, Toyota torque.
Now I know why people liked The Stig because he didn't TALK AT ALL
1:43.20 Lexus RC f vs lc500 1:44.52
If it was cheaper to build an all new platform why does the rc f cost as much as it does to the consumer? How much money r they making off that thing?
There is a reason why German cars are king
+rod bahmanyari That crown is being chased by Caddy and they are getting close
i think you didnt watch the whole video here.. im pretty sure a mercedes came in first. cadillac is unproven.
***** Yeah I was mostly just referring to the sports luxury sedan segment. If I misinterpreted your comment I'm sorry.
King of unreliability and expensiveness, maybe.
my 2002 tii has stayed in the family for generations. its foul to say its unreliable. if you don't know what a bmws 2002 it is, please go back and read more about reliable german engineering (except for the part that includes Volkswagen)
At 70k a charger hellcat provides much more. It should be a contestant
What's with the edits in the turn?
ah man, a bit dissapointed with the results, really want to buy this car.
What wouldn't you buy like a Zl1? Same weight, more power, both coups, and similar price...
Also you can get it as a stick and probably handles better
I vote for the mazda
.... Why not trying it in "expert mode" with manual shifting? 😐
Is he driving this in automatic mode?
ugh that was disappointing.... someone bring the general mayhem to laguna seca! i want to see that thing do a lap ^_^
Lexus makes sporty luxury cars, not sports car, this car was never designed to be on a track, you might as well be out there in an F150.
toyota doesn't know how to make sports cars anymore, that's why they outsourced every one (FR-S to Subaru, Supra to BMW). Any Lexus with a F badge should be a track capable, this car just isn't. I'm not saying this car sucks, RC-F is one of the best quality comfortable high speed cruisers ! But any one that picks this over a M4 is just not a car enthusiast.
Toyota doesn't know what the hell they're doing lol.
its transmission is not as good as both Cadillac automatic. i Kinda expect more coming from the guys who built the Lexus LFA
This car along with the FT-86 gives me enough reason to believe that Toyota is lost in the performance world. I hope they don't put "Supra" on the back of their next disaster, ruining a legendary name plate.
I heard the RMS Titanic was a good drivers car too.
Looks like a Honda Accord.
+Tobbots Same with the new C-class coupe.
+ChooChooTrain02 No, that looks like cheese melting on a cheese grater
i don't wanna sound biased, but 3 or 4 years ago they had the LF-A in this "best driver's car", and they rank it 6th place, i mean, how the hell you rank the LF-A in the 6th place, i remember him saying that it needs a pro to handle it, but the truth is, if you'r gonna buy this thing and go to some tracks and races you have to be a good driver.....now the RC-F...i am not talking about the lap time, lexus did a big mistake by making it too heavy, but, in the driving section i am sure it's not that bad....i feel like the one who drove all the cars is a bit of a hater....that's my opinion!
how did this car make It into best drivers car?
Because look at it
Is every car messed up except the vw? Corvette engine, brakes on the ATS, the transmission here, wtf?
toyota/lexus has been outta the game too long......mid 90's were the golden years for toyota!
Hearing that the platform of the RC F consists out of 3 different cars made me cringe. A lot.
It lost about 3 secs from slow kickdowns ... to be objective enough it should be driven in manual mode
