Usage of synonyms should take into consideration, the context and the meaning of the sentence in which it is used. The synonyms cannot always be used as an equivalent replacement. Sometimes, the sentence does not require broader terms to express something in relatively simple and clear words. Some words cannot be paraphrased, for example, *people*. It is okay to repeat the words in such cases if they are used judiciously.

Hi Ms Liz, i was wondering if i truely inderstood this lesson so i went to your blog and search for a topic and write an introduction the topic is from the opinion essays : Prevention is better than cure. Researching and treating diseases is too costly so it would be better to invest in preventative measures. my introduction: Investing in healthcare and preventative measures is proved to be a better method rathen than research for treatments and cures that may costs alot of money. In my opinion, i completely agree that this is the key to a healthy life. thank you in advance.
"proved to be" is wrong. The essay question doesn't say this. You need to remember, the background should have the same meaning as the essay question. Don't change it. Otherwise, it's all fine.
