Women who appear low effort get approached more however they get more low effort suitors. Higher maintenance in appearance signifies you have higher expectations. Also, like many women I suspect she was told not to go outside not put together so she feels “naked” without her makeup or like she skipped a step. I also think that weave and makeup plays a part too. I went from weaves to locs and the approach of men is different. I think they feel more comfortable approaching when you are less done up. Okay so the title is a little off putting but I’ve learned that these are the reasons (for any woman struggling with this): They think you’re taken. They think you’re expensive/high maintenance. They think they’re not good enough. Also, like many women I suspect she was told not to go outside not put together so she feels “naked” without her makeup or like she skipped a step. I also think that weave and makeup plays a part too. I went from weaves to locs and the approach of men is different. I think they feel more comfortable approaching when you are less done up. There’s something about seeing a woman in her natural state.
