Finde es so angenehm wie Steffi hier ist. Man merkt hier, wie sie ist, wenn sie sich wohlfühlt und sie selbst sein kann. Das macht viel aus beim Zuhören und man merkt so deutlich die Liebe und Wertschätzung und den gegenseitigen Respekt zwischen euch. Schön, dass Ihr euch das erhalten konntet!
Die beiden haben eine total beruhigende Energie zusammen. So verständnisvoll und liebevoll wie die miteinander umgehen, wundert es mich sehr, dass sie es nicht nochmal probieren. Sie scheinen sich wirklich aus dem tiefsten Herzen zu lieben.

You said you lost the spark in the relationship, but who needs spark, when there is this deep vibration of love and trust to the rudes. You really have some true connection of two souls. Makes me sad to see that you have such a harmony relationship, but are not together. I wish you that you can stay in cennection forever and even stay soulmates as friends. You both already found what others are searching the whole live time.
Ich muss ehrlich zugeben, dieses ganze hyperindividualistische, liberale Weltbild macht uns sehr beziehungsunfähig. Beide behaupten, sie hätten nie Konflikte gehabt und gleichzeitig behaupten auch beide, dass keine Aufregung mehr da war, als sie zusammen gelebt haben. Gleichzeitig hatten sie sehr wohl Themen, die sich in ihrer Beziehung zeigten, woran definitiv Kindheitswunden der „Grund“ sind. Diese Aufzuarbeiten hätte definitiv viel Heilung gebracht. Es ist immer so einfach in die Trennung zu gehen, als wirklich jegliche Themen aufzuarbeiten. Ich lebe seit 4 Jahren mit meinem Partner zusammen und ja, es ist anspruchsvoll, weil alle alten Traumata in der Beziehung hochkommen und gleichzeitig wachsen wir dadurch zusammen und heilen dank Konflikten, dank Auseinandersetzungen. Es klingt, als wärt ihr total kompatibel, ihr habt nur nicht gelernt, wahrhaftige Tiefe in der Beziehung zu erarbeiten. Und dies geht tatsächlich nur durch Konflikte, da diese die Potenziale widerspiegeln. Das, was eine Beziehung „spicy“ macht, ist die dadurch erlangte Intimität und Authentizität. Denn in der Tat, es ist so viel einfacher, alleine zu leben, für sich selbst zu sorgen. Aber so verlieren wir den Blick auf das größere Bild, und zwar, dass wir ein Fundament in Beziehungen schaffen müssen, um für die nächste Generation stark zu werden. Mein Partner und ich haben dazu einen Podcast gemacht, für Paare, die nach Heilung in Beziehung streben.
UPDATE: Nachdem dieser Kommentar so viel Zuspruch bekommen hat, haben wir kurzerhand ein neues Video zu diesem Podcast / dieser Episode gemacht, wo wir ein paar Aussagen analysiert und unsere Erfahrungen dazu geteilt haben. Schaut gerne mal rein :)
Naja, das liberale Weltbild schafft erstmal überhaupt die Wahl wie man eine Beziehung führen möchte. Von der Beziehung dieser beiden Menschen auf all diese Dinge zu schliessen, finde ich gerade etwas wild! Auch jemanden einfach so durch eine Ferndiagnose als Beziehungsunfähig zu bezeichnen ist wirklich Grenzüberschreitend. Ich denke sogar das Gegenteil, nämlich dass die Generationen nach Ihnen viel bewusstere Beziehungen führen, weil darüber gesprochen wird, wie man eine Beziehung führen möchte. Und weil die Therapie schon vor der Beziehung stattfindet. Klar kann man auch in der Beziehung in Therapie gehen. Sich gegenseitig mit Konflikten zu heilen, finde ich etwas alamierend. Aber ich stelle nun auch keine Ferndiagnosen Ihrerseit an. Das Thema aufzumachen ist trotzem wichtig und es ist nicht meine Intention Ihnen einen bösen Kommentar zu schreiben. Es ist nur eine weitere Sichtweise.
Wir sind als Generation beziehungsunfähig, das ist keine Diagnose sondern Fakt. Wir sind überfordert in Beziehung, weil wir nicht gelernt haben, wie wir Beziehungen wirklich führen. Wenn wir sagen die Lösung ist einfach in die Trennung zu gehen, ist dies dank der Schattenseite der liberalen Gesellschaft. Dies löst jedoch die Probleme nicht. Im Gegenteil. Der Partner ist lediglich ein Spiegel. Die liberale Gesellschaft redet uns ein immer excitet sein zu müssen, gleichzeitig geht es jedoch auch darum ein purpose in der Beziehung zu verfolgen, die über excitment hinaus geht.
Ich stimm dir voll zu! Ich finde die Folge toll und finde es immer schön zu sehen, wenn die Liebe im Vordergrund steht, egal ob man nun ein Paar ist oder nicht. Aber auch aus meiner Erfahrung heraus entsteht eine wahre Tiefe und Intimität durch Konflikt (also durch aufgelösten Konflikt!) - das lässt irgendwann nach, wenn vieles aufgelöst ist und man dann in der Stabilitätsphase ist. 😊 ob das nun aber bei Stefanie und Marcus „gefehlt“ hat oder nicht - das können nur die beiden wissen.

I think both are scared to risk the ‚friendship‘ even though it‘s obvious that both have open hearts and deep feelings for each other. They just need to get in a romantic close situation and someone of them need to say ,let‘s try again and not waste this big chance of true love‘. They are true souldmates and just need some space, no wirk together and some romantic dates. Thats easy makeable.

Ich finde die Folge Mega, nur habe ich Schwierigkeiten damit dass sie die Fragen stellt und auch immer direkt beantwortet. Das gibt Markus nicht unbedingt die Möglichkeit spontan zu antworten. Vielleicht würde er sogar was ganz anderes ansprechen aber she set the tone

I have recently broken up with my ex and we are still great friends, this doesn’t get modelled enough and it was super nice for me to hear your story. Romantic love can be turned into friendship and it is sad to think how often this doesn’t happen. To read comments of people claiming you must still be in love or that you haven’t worked on your issue makes me really confused. All I have seen is two great people that cared about each other so much and didn’t want to lose the love they had for each other but just to transform it, you should be proud ❤

I want to say: wow! It’s very rare what you have here and how honest you are about it. Wish I could have this same kind of conversation with my ex (20 years together and one son). I think that it is possible between you two because you trust each other. When there is betrayal, it goes sour. You both seem very affectionate towards each other, more than many couples that I know. Maybe there is a future for you both together but maybe the situation is not mature enough yet. For sure you are not ready to have kids yet, it’s something that must be really wanted preferably. It’s always pleasing to witness cleverness on RUclips.

Ich glaube, sie macht es, damit er sich wohler fühlt und offener ist, die Fragen zu beantworten. Es scheint als beantwortet die die tieferen/emotionaleren Fragen erst, aber die leichteren Fragen lässt sie ihn zuerst beantworten.
I used to watch marcus' daily vlogs religiously and watching this interview after all this time, gives me the feeling that I'm catching up with an old friend. (thank u Stefanie for this :>)
It's shocking to me to hear about the reason of his previous breakup-much respect to him for not letting this be known back then with all the craziness and then all the hate on your relationship.
Also, (in case Stefanie and Marcus read the comments section of this) don't assume that because you've had a deep connection with each other and all the lovely things that you talked about in this interview, you will be lucky enough to find this in another partner (or keep finding it in any partner). I hope you realise this in time :)
Commitment in a relationship is about choosing to love the other person, even when you don't feel that "initial spark" anymore. You won't be feeling that spark forever in any relationship- it evolves into something deeper. The fact that you can't imagine your life without having each other as friends sais something guys..

I think there's a lot of growth in this conversation. You were both so young when you started dating. Trying to be in a relationship with Covid was just difficult - it failed a lot of relationships and continues to put pressure on them (if the relationships are still going). My relationship is what I call a Covid relationship and it was difficult. We split for a year before coming back together. That time for growth and understanding what you want, dating other people, etc. I just think it's so important. You two compliment eachother nicely. Even if it doesn't work out for you romantically, having eachother in your lives will be positive.

Super folge 😊 mein ex und ich sind auch sehr gut befreundet. wir waren vier jahre ein paar, die trennung ist jetzt 6 jahre her und wir funktionieren als freunde so viel besser. ich glaube, viele kennen die situation, dass man unglücklich in einer beziehung ist, aber td noch lange in dieser beziehung bleibt, weil man den anderen nicht komplett verlieren will. da finde ich das konzept freunde zu sein perfekt. kann natürlich nur funktionieren, wenn beide auf derselben ebene sind und keine krassen verletzungen passiert sind. finds super schade, dass bei so vielen leuten beziehungen immer so böse zu ende gehen.

I think that might be her way of making him feel comfortable and not be put on the spot. She doesn't do that on other episodes. It's a lot harder if you know each other so deeply and mean so much to each other.

I’m also really good friends with my ex still and we work together! If you want to make that friendship/partnership work and be mature, you absolutely can (depending on the breakup circumstances I suppose). Communication after the breakup is key. You don’t want any loose ends!
I feel like as a new partner of either one of them I would be quite bothered by the way they are with each other... they clearly haven't moved on from each other fully... The shared tattoo, the reminiscing.. Obviously neither one of them has found a serious new partner yet so it's okay like that.. but I don't think it will be easy for their new partners..
You can see very clearly that he was not ready to commit to a “married” life, living together etc because he only highlighted the negative aspects of it, to te point of thinking that a long distance relationship was the best thing for them. Yes, it’s super hard and you do lose some of the romance and excitment but love is what stays after that. There’s no greater feeling than coming home to your significant other waiting for you and I’m sorry if that is what Marcus took of that. Hope one day he can have a different perspective.
