It's like they really do want to be like a dog and just launch at the person, jump all over them like OMG I MISSED YOU =D but then they remember they're a far more refined and dignified species! So they just stop half way and sort of linger there like "Welcome home, human. I shall observe you appreciatively"

They are "BIG TALKERS", almost like dogs barking... My Zen did this..for years..finally died at 19, still grousing on the vet table (she had stomach cancer, bless her)..
Very sorry to hear, indeed a great loss. 1 natural mink tonkinese and 1 sealpoint thai of mine died this year. One was 17, the other almost 18, kidney failure. Both females, also both my buddies for life, very sad and still missing the girls that much...👎😔 👎
Siamese cats are extremely loud and very vocal! 😻 Philip is a particularly cute Siamese cat, and he seems/seemed like a sweetie. I love the way he quietly trotted closer to the door as soon as he heard it open. ☺️

Yes and no. They’ll be silent if you give them attention without them having to howl. But howling is always an option. You should howl right back at them. They like to have a conversation.

My other one caterwauls at his favorite toy between 1am and 3am every night, from a high meow to a very low sound that doesn't sound like meow, more like an extended owwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
@@pawklessbites3281 i'm very late, but most breed personality traits have exceptions - that doesn't mean they aren't true, however! meezers and other oriental breeds tend to be very vocal, but there's always the odd few out that prefer to be quiet. bengals are usually energetic and difficult to keep up with for first-time owners, but there's almost certainly a few bengals out there that're more laid-back. maine coons are known for being gentle and friendly, but a poorly-socialzed maine coon could be a nightmare to deal with... you get the picture, right?

We’ve had Siamese cats for decades and we love them! We love their talking and beauty and companionship. They are definitely part of the family - they know it, and expect you to know it too! My sweet baby (we have 3 cats, two are Siamese and one is an Abyssinian) knows her name and all I have to do is call her and she comes prancing towards me, so happy and perky, and ready for some good conversation! We have had many people over the years who hear our various Siamese cats in the background and wonder why there’s a baby in our child-free home! It’s pretty funny when we tell them it’s our cat! Most people have trouble believing it; others think it’s adorable and still others make immediate decisions to never get a Siamese! They’re missing out, is what I say!
I have a 12 year old Lynx Point Siamese boy, and he was very worried about the meowing, he had to make sure everything was ok. He's a conscientious boy.
Reminds me of our Bengal, because we live in a house but second floor. So she sits before the door, when she hears us, even when she looks like she slept for hours. And then purrs and wants to be stroked for about 10 minutes straight. So lovely.

I had two cats from the same siamese mother, and although neither had her markings, they were both 100% as chatty/noisy. My other two cats of unknown origins are only talkative when they don't get what they want ("Let me in the bathroom! Why are doors closed to meeee!?")
So cute! I have a Lilac Point and he is the sweetest little asshole youd ever meet lol. He is a chatter box but i love him and his nudges and rolling around for tummy rubs 🤗💗 he is also very jealous 😂

Yep. Loud. When I had my seal point Siamese, she could practically break the sound barrier...and demanding???!!!!.... it was "get my food served up!!!!....get that heating put on!!!!.....get my cushion sorted!!!!..." And you were expected to do it promptly! Dogs have owners, cats have staff. 😺😻🙀
So cute! One of my roommates had a Siamese cat named Mercedes - she looked purebred (alien face) but was totally quiet! Maybe it's because she was mostly blind. Such a sweety when she warms up to you! She had a big muscular black cat who took care of her :P

What a beautiful Bluepoint! My late Taco Bell and Manny looked exactly like your cat. Normally they were both soft spoken. But when they wanted something they sounded just like your cat. I had Taco for almost 13 years, Manny passed at 19. My first was a snowshoe Siamese. Someone came to the door she'd growl like a dog. My two new ones aren't Siamese but act like one.
I had a cat, Thera, who looked like a regular tabby but clearly had Siamese in her. She would be downstairs in the basement, I'd be on the phone upstairs, and people would say, "Yeah, so--wait...is that your cat?!"
I used to have a couple of Siamese cats one was so loud he would wake us up in the middle of the night he's also a Siamese but basically what they call a Siamese lavender point basically he would use his meal or to do what he would want to do that would be meow loud enough to basically tell us he wants outside so he can go to the bathroom and try to mingle with the other cats
