Whales can kind of buy upgrade materials Contrary to what you said.
They just buy season tokens and then can buy upgrade materials from the daily 3 resets.
Yeah that’s true, I just didn’t mention it because I think even if you bought all of them every day it would have a relatively small impact, but good point

I've been playing since day one!! Knowing Jasmine is coming has me wanting to save everything I earn to make Jasmine my main.
if she's coming at some point she won't be alone when she does. a few characters I can picture playable alongside her would be: Aladdin, Jafar, Genie and even Abu.
@kaguya1351 Well, I'd agree ONLY! If it's an Aladdin themed season. Otherwise, It's definitely Jasmine and Aladdin. Nothing had been confirmed yet. They might give the same treatment as Minnie as Daisy Duck.
I'm curious as to which film the season will surround. Ither way my wish is granted and the rest of this games life span regardless who they put in this game will be meaningless to me, because jasmine is all ill need or ever want to play as.
@@glink9641 Personally I think one possible ability she'll have is similar to Hercules. the latter summons Pegasus to get a speed boost so I can imagine Jasmine summoning her pet tiger Raja to attack enemies behind her as the normal ability while she summons Carpet to get a speed boost and temporary immunity to damage.

@kaguya1351 I believe rajah is to be a crew member for her is Purple, stats will upgrade her boost and combat. Sultan will be gold (obviously). it's her father. So idk what she will have for abilities. Rajah would be cool, but a possibility of rajah.
@skyliner, just so you know. The free daily box does not contain any limited time nor seasonal characters. Just the core game characters.
Yes, I found this out a few days ago. I think this makes the comparison to the nerfs to regulated fair, as I believe that mode only features core game characters as well
This is better than Asphalt 9 and 8 currently, i could see people moving to speedstorm (myself included)
Yeah sadly those games online are good, you dont have jitters or cruise in 2nd but it ends you in 5th. The issue youll find with this game compared to those is this de sync is a shitty thing and the rubber banding is horrible fully making this game bad online for serious play. Also then add in getting higher ranks is a pain , so you need millions to play, and millions to get emerald or higher or this game will truly be dead above plat. Alongside that it could get beyond for some people and then they leave cause of that, and cheaters and hackers dont even get banned and tons of ui bugs and errors. I love the game but it ain’t great unless you just play for fun, but your fun cant be to get a racer and race cause it ain’t nice
Is it f2p? Yes and no. I guess it all depends. We couldn't whale in the game fir the first few months. But like with all free games it sll depends on if you play PVP game modes. Or if you want to unlock everything. Heck ive been playing this game dince sradon 2 and theres a bunch of characters ive yet to unlock. Personally they're characters i don't vare about

I had the same idea to make a video this weekend talking about Speedstorms changes and if it's leaning towards F2P as well. Great video! I love the longer video time. I agree with a lot of these points and in mine, I'll focus more on the changes and what "Casual Player" might look like versus the paying player aspect. Another home run video though, keep em coming!
warframe is also a free game, but I think if people wouldn't buy certain things then warframe wouldn't be around after all these years. Personally I don't mind buying a season pass for a good cause. TY for youre video
Does anyone know how i can get randall tokens? As i didnt unlock him and have 0 shards for him
As of right now, the only way to get Randall shards would be to open universal boxes and hope you get really lucky. You can also wait and check your shop every day, there might be so options to buy his shards for tokens. Hopefully in season 4 they’ll add more ways to get racers you want specifically
I think that the nerf of the regulated multiplayer with the daily box close preety much
I know this video is already some weeks old but I've got to admit the game IS actually P2W now a day.
It is possible to enjoy it as F2P, but if you love Disney's characters and you really enjoy using different racers, sooner or later the game will push you to spend money.
My main reasons for saying it are: 1) The lack of ways to farm/grind level-up materials. It isn't just hard to get characters "dupes" to increase their level cap, it's also hard to get enough materials to level up all of them, which forces you to prioritize a few and leave the rest on the bench.
2) The absurd RNG in loot boxes, which will only get worse within time as more and more new characters are released. The different currencies you earn by playing as F2P cant be spent in a way where the player can choose 100% sure what he/she will get.
I love your videos and they help me A LOT, so please keep doing this awesome job...

Honestly I think it's okay right now. New players are put against other new players and experienced players against other experienced players. I've only bought founders packs and I've raced against people with higher level than me and still won so the level difference and star level difference doesn't seem bad especially if ur skilled enough. I think the game is still fair. Still mad about the regulated nerf... there was no need

I strongly disagree, you don't need to spend a buck to play in same conditions with other players in regulated multiplayer, you can unlock all characters playing for free.
@@rickynotengo7718 true but you can’t compete at a high level with new characters without paying, most my S1 characters look p2w, but they’re actually just 6 months of playing prior so I agree and disagree in a sense
@@DSAVLS this is not totally true, I mean, ranking multiplayer is the way they make money, and at the first sight you can say its a pay to win, but levels are not so important, I won races agains people 10 levels above me. In this regard is very well balanced.
Yes it is pay to win, gameloft did same to dreamlight valley, that's why I never got speedstorm, cause saw this coming after dreamlight valley

i do think you are forgetting tho, if ppl spend money on tokens to buy the season box, as an example, or whaling on the season box for character shards, what it comes down to isnt shards but crew members as well. So not only do level up shards boost a stat in when ranking up a character, it also opens up more crew member slots: more crew member slots = more stat buffs and earning multiple crew members is easier than earning character shards. So a low level'd high star character with enough crew members equipped is just as frustrating to race against someone who is free to play who cant earn any of that.
Also the nerf to regulated is uncalled for, the reason it wasnt played as much, from what i could tell, was a few of the characters in the regulated were not characters ppl wanted. the Elizabeth Swan, Meg and the Baloo Regulated was flood with ppl, but the Jack Sparrow Mowgli and were less populated. there are very few ppl who race with either of the latter characters. i know i didnt want mowgli cause i dont like his abilities, truth could be said for other ppl since Mowgli was a trial character in one of the starter pack races. Having the ability for just a free unlock character is nice for free to play instead of a free box thats pure rng with a full mix of shards is very annoying and just a push on "Spend more money on the game". To me its a loss cause a reason to stay on the game with regulated is a hope that the character you unlocked will cycle back through for a chance to get more shards instead of rng loot luck, and wasting your hard earn play time and getting nothing out of it.

"Kind of" pay to win is becoming the norm these days and the more people support it the more pay to win games will become. They're slowly boiling the frog.
Rank multiplayer is a joke you need to race it to get shards for characters yet it extremely difficult when your character is stuck at lvl 15 or lvl 25 and you forced to play against lvl 30 to lvl 40 and when you lose you lose points so it becomes impossible to compete let alone have FUN.
I think the game is super fair now, not pay to win anymore

@@Seb7an have you tried "regulated multiplayer" mode????? all drivers has SAME level NOT need to buy anything. One thing is a free to play game with in app purchases, and other thing is a pay to win game.
