So, what’s everyone’s thoughts on Steamboat Mickey and Steamboat Pete? Steamboat Mickey might be okay, especially with his acceleration, handling and boost, but his signature feels a little lacking. Now Pete though, oh boy, very good top speed and decent acceleration. Sure his handling is not great but his signature, especially the charged version, feels very devastating against other racers.

I think Steamboat Pete will be either low A tier or high B tier. He has the best top speed and combat stats in the game, and better handling than beast and sulley. I don't think his ability is nearly as good as beast or sulley though, so even though his stats are better I think he'll be the same or slightly worse. As for steamboat mickey, I'm a lot less confident, but I think he'll be like B tier
Well Mulan is already in the C tier, and goofy is only one slot away. But I see where you’re coming from with Randall and Donald, and I think a big part of why they were put in their spots is because top speed is very important at high mprs, something that Randall has and Donald doesn’t. I totally get where you’re coming from though
Seeing this makes me turned off to buy the game. I'd want to use goofy he is my favorite and just to lose. If you play enough and grind you should be able to use your fav character and it shouldn't matter
Oh don’t be discouraged by the tier list, if you play any character long enough and level them up you can do really good as them. I’ve had games where I’m playing some of the best characters and get destroyed by the worst. Not to mention, this list only applies to ranked multiplayer, which is a small fraction of the content in this game. And finally, the devs constantly make balance changes to make the game more balanced, buffing the weak characters and nerfing the strong ones
Could someone explain which crew members are the best for Buzz? I keep hearing this statement but no one ever explains it. Of course I use his unique crew with the Aliens but I’ve been trying to figure out what else works in terms of stats. I currently have RC and Rex as my other two.
I think Aliens + Ham and either Rex or Mutant Toys is his best build. Only choose Mutant Toys over Rex if you struggle with his weak handling a lot, because the top speed with rex and the boost to the fire power up is very helpful.
Sulley and buzz will only get better and better with levels and crew stars especially with the epic crew who boost epic characters for 15% stats vs 10% rare and 8% for common characters. A epic crew 2 stars is already better than a 5 stars epic crew for mike for example.
Totally agree. I think eventually the meta will shift from favoring commons who are high levels right now, to epics who will build their levels and crew up a bit slower than commons but benefit a lot longer in the long run. We’re already seeing this with Sulley and Buzz who have access to their epic crew members, it’ll only become more prominent when everyone has a reliable way to obtain their epic crew

I’ve demolished some top racers while playing ranked with ease and it’s because the game is more than just who is the fastest. Take a horrible ranked racer and use them well easily puts them in first. Buzz may be “S-tier” to the “top racers” but his skill is situationally good. Charged will be useless if you don’t have enough straight track to boost ahead. You still see Mike as the most used racer for events overall, followed by Sully. I haven’t seen Buzz anywhere and that’s partially due to how new he is to the game. I would still say Mike deserves to be 1st place overall due to his insanely good handling combined with his amazing ability. Play style still dictates which racer is best for each player though.
That's why I gathered a group of players, to remove bias and playstyle when making a tier list. All the people I asked play a wide range of different playstyles and racers, yet still had very similar rankings across the board. Buzz's skill is good enough to make him objectively one of the best racers in the game, and mike and sulley are pretty interchangeable to be honest.
A lot of the development for this video was done about a week ago, so I didn’t include them. I also didn’t want to rush people’s opinions of them and figured it would be better to include them in the next version

Yeah, I might try and do something like that in the future. As a general rule of thumb though, use the ones you’ve leveled up the most
