So they all about "eco-friendly" but put a barrel plug in this thing and gave you another charger that you can use with limited amount of tech, instead of investing a little bit more and put type-c in it so you can use your own cable and charger.
To be fair it is not a standard barrel plug. They have touched it up just so that it fits only their drill. I am yet so see that type of plug on any other device. This entire thing is just so awful, a lot of thought must have go in to making it just so bad!
Thank you for understanding my intensions with this video. This thing is on Amazon etc and I am sure many people will end up purchasing such stuff for the upcoming holiday season. Just a waste of money. The intensions are good, but it is not there yet.
@@BrokeLifeEUyes, it's heavy and has probably broken a wrist or two in its lifetime. I have a smaller one too, the holgun model of similar age. I think those were used during WW2 in the war factories. It's got an uncomfortably small handle even for a small handed man like myself. So I wonder if it was intended for women's hands, since I read a lot of women worked in the war factories. Either way, black and decker was an awesome company. Hopefully they will see the light and start to produce tools that last a lifetime again. Somehow I doubt that will happen though since products that outlive their purchasers are bad for profits. 😂

It is not mine so I did not want to risk any damage on the thing as I had not asked if I could disassemble it before it was sent to me. And if the warranty is with Black&Decker I think there might be issues if there are scratches on the screws. Best case scenario I think is it has a couple of 18650 cells in there. They only advertise it as a 1.5Ah 12V so probably 3 cells in the handle.
Please don't get me started on the cars these days. 😂 I know I can't afford them, but even if I could there is next to NOTHING that I like. Maybe the only thing is the Suzuki Jimny. I like the way that looks.

I suppose you are right, however this was somewhat used before it got to me and I also used it before I made the video so it is not like it is out of the box new.
Hardly beat the cheapest drill from Aliexpress with a battery I last charged about 7 months ago. This is an absolute scam of the highest magnitude from B&D.

Saw these in the local Kaufland, almost no one has bought a single unit 😂
I say good on them 😂 The idea they use to sell this is really good, but the end product, I don't think there is a single way to make it worse...
Black and Decker have lost it.
Completely!
This video is awesome 👍
Thank you so much for sharing proper information ❤
Thank you so much for your support my friend! All the best! ❤
Every non-gearhead needs to see this video before the spending/gifting season! Hilariously bad tool and truly wasteful in every way

its not wasteful.... its the best gift to give to your enemies....
@@lesslighter Got a point there. Can't argue. If you don't like someone give them this for Christmas and watch them struggle.
YESSS! I was hoping for a new video!
I hope it was an interesting video for you!
Who designed this crap? It must be someone who never used a drill.
I actually think they did, but they don't care. They care only about sales and profit...
Ive got an old black and decker from 1946. Now that was built to last.
I really like the look of those ones!

For a very, very low price, I can see it as an starter drill for small projects like hanging pictures and as a powered screwdriver.
I can agree with that! Anything like 15to20 Euros I can say is reasonable for this. But I still don't buy the eco checks it is trying to write.
Doesnt it open up? There are screws. Lets see the type of cells in there.

This is just E waste.
Correction. Somewhat recycled e-waste 🙃
6:55 How are we supposed to recycle and feel good about it, if things don't break? Obvious flaw in your logic there. Pfff.
😂 Got me on a technicality there. TKO I guess 😂
Can't believe this is actually from Black & Decker. 😂
By the way if you go on Amazon, these things are full of 5 star reviews! Possibly this is the first power tool for many people.
Black decker is a zombie brand just like AEG
Its just a brand name
Open it! I want to see a teardown video. 😀
Please don't make me! It is disgusting 😪😪😪
They recycled junk to make more junk 🤣
Hit the nail on the head!
that tool is made for 🌈 as many cars nowadays

it doesn't even look that good
the Parkside performance 12v looks cooler imo
what could go wrong with a capsulated drill 🤔
I think, it's supposed to appeal to people that don't want their tools to look like tools. It's supposed to look as if Apple made it or something.
@oilybrakes i get it it's a simple and minimalistic design for quirky people

I have a battery screwdriver I got from the Action that seems to have more power than this thing 🤣
I bey you a telepathy powered drill has more power than this 🤣
for sure a scam
Thank you!
The brushes will break-in, then spark less, if the drill works for very long.

@BrokeLifeEU it still looks new, it is very white. So I doubt it was used much. I have white tools, and they don't stay that way for very long,
PARKSIDE® X20V TEAM battery green drill is better
Even the X12 is better than this. The 20V version will be a LOT better.
looks crap cant beat parkside
