Multiplayer gameplay from the Killzone: Mercenary beta. This is the 'Warzone' mode on the map 'Intel'. Warzone consists of 5 phases:
• Body Count: Kill the enemy
• Interrogator: Extract intelligence from incapacitated enemies.
• Bounty Hunter: Collect Valor cards from fallen enemies.
• Hacker: Secure VAN-Guard capsules.
• Body Count: Kill the enemy
The Team with the most points after all 5 phases wins.

First of all, for some reason when I was capturing this footage....I was getting input delay on my Vita =( which made me play quite bad. You guys might be able to notice my terrible aiming at times, and its due to the input delay.
This has never happened to me before while capturing from the Vita, my battery was low at the time and maybe that played a factor? I will find out when my Vita is fully charged.

This map was for the "Closed Beta" that they released in early August and few people got to play it, Shoreline is the map for the "Open Beta"

yes it uses the analog stick. The back touch screen is used to zoom in with sniper rifles. The melee attacks are the most brutal melees I've ever seen on a FPS

I swear capture and hold would work soo well in this game i mean for example there could be a capture point on the bridge in the center of the map, there could be a capture point in that underground alleyway where its really dark and there can be two at each end of the map.

I think the most terrifying thing about this game is seeing a Mantis drone flying toward your face. Terrible way to die.
I simply can't put into words how much this game has surprised me, it gives me hope for the Vita, it gives me hope for Borderlands 2 on the vita and Minecraft etc, if you have a Vita and you don't buy this game, even if you are not a shooter type of guy, you have not witnessed a real handheld game. Perfect shooter for the vita 10/10. I am going to be playing this game for years. I probably sound like a fanboy or something but this game really has impressed me.

This map looks somewhat similar to the Beach head dlc map from KZ2. Fond memories about that one. Glad the open beta is about to begin soon.
No problem. The final game will be releasing with 6 multiplayer maps that vary in open/CQB environments. The game is awesome!

I've played it and can report that it feels really good. 4 v 4 doesn't automatically mean it's bad. TLOU is 4 v 4 and it's one of the best MP I've played in years!! :)
The open beta that just release only has shoreline. This map was in the closed beta.
You can use a mic via the party chat function. I don't think there will be an open chat feature though. So a team of randoms won't be able to use chat to communicate.
It's really hard to believe this is going to be on the vita, running smoothly
Finally a game the vita deserves imagine if the next ac or cod game had graphics and gameplay as good as this then vita sales would skyrockect

By the way everyone.. It looks SO much better on the actual Vita screen.. Those colors pop amazingly... and I actually found it hard to pay attention to the game itself for a while cause of how mesmerizing the visuals were..

One of my favorite maps :)
Had to make a sacrifice to keep the PS3 engine running smooth throughout. Besides, the maps are the perfect size to run and gun, while also allowing space to plan, flank, or snipe, if necessary, without any lack of action. That's a pretty amazing feat.
I think that 4v4 is perfect! The matches will be more tactical because of it. And we didnt see all maps. There must be some small maps.
This game seems really calm... Killzone ps3 multiplayer is crazy! Everything is loud and intense... But what do i expect with only 8 players... Still looks fun.
If only I had the money for a Vita and PS4 :' ( Huge Killzone fan as well.

Well that's because Killzone Mercenary is a handheld game that can't handle 24 players at once but so what all I care about is the fact that it runs smoothly and is a lot of fun. Plus when you're out of the house do you want to always play quick mobile game's or do you want to play handheld game's that give you near console like experiences on the go?

I got into the public beta today. Holy fucking shit! The game plays really well, the graphics are what they're supposed to be (exceeded my expectations to be more exact), and it's just what the Vita really needs! A solid FPS that only Killzone can deliver, and it just doesn't have the shittyness like Black Ops Declassified. Definitely going to be worth the full retail price for me.

Guerilla Cambridge are just saying "Late August" for the open beta at the moment. Best keep an eye out on your local PS Blog for an exact date. :)
