    I have an organization system/process to help me be more efficient with set up and break down. I’m always looking for ways to consolidate it. All of the products I use in my glamping setup can be found at the link below.

    Our camping storage is similar to yours! We are a family of 7 and the only thing we struggle with is a better way to organize our clothing! If you have any tips on this I’d appreciate them!

    So I saw your video recently overlooking the golden gate and I’m curious, a lot of your shorts have campgrounds allowing tents that have flat sites with grass and power? Where are you camping? Any recommendations for a fellow northern Californian who wants to be near water but camps in a tent without friends with rigs?

    • @joehoustonsf
      @joehoustonsf  Год назад

      The spot overlooking the golden gate has no water or power. I have a 1500w power station that I used. A lot of my shorts are from Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale. Hackberry Flat RV sites. They will allow you to book it without an RV. I also like Johnson’s Beach in Guerneville. They have their own private beach on the Russian River. There are soo many other places as well

    Thanks for showing your gear. Do you plan on getting a hot shower set up? Or does everywhere you camp have showers? (Public showers gross me out 🤢)

    • @joehoustonsf
      @joehoustonsf  Год назад +3

      Most of the time I camp with friends with RVs and trailers so I use theirs. There are a few places I go that have nice showers. Although I agree public showers can be gross. I’m planning to do more off the grid camping this year and will need to bring my shower but it isn’t hot. So I will work on that. I use this shower tent. amzn.to/3GPrtQz

    Great video. Me and my gf are slowly getting into camping. We have tent, tarp, air matress, kitchen appliances, lights, etc.... its for 2 people. However, I am thinking about upgrading to a bigger tent. I would love to have similar sofa and bed to yours......but fitted for 2 people. Is there anything you would recommend, or setup you would recommend?

    • @joehoustonsf
      @joehoustonsf  Год назад +2

      Thank you!! I’ve always liked a tent with a center height of 6ft or taller. It’s a lot more comfortable to be able to stand up in the tent. I’ve tried a lot of different tents over the years and I really like the Core Equipment tents this is the one I use amzn.to/3FY64Us. What’s great about this tent is it is a pop up tent. The poles are attached. With two people this ten sets up in minutes. The way I have it set up inside is essentially for two people. Intex has a few different couch styles amzn.to/3TShmiW. And amzn.to/3nuqluJ. One misconception is you need to buy everything all at once. I would say start with getting a nice tent, air mattresses, lights and cooking stove or grill. to start. Then you can accessorize down the road. Happy to chat if you have more questions.

      @@joehoustonsf Thanks for the reply. Honestly, the tent looks great. However, its a 12 ppl tent...and if me and my gf want to go camping, it will be at some campground (bcs of electricity, shower, ...) and because we dont have the generator as they are very expensive (I know there are cheap ones, but its still at least couple hundred of bucks) and we want to build it slowly. Now I am thinking about your first sofa that you recommended and Im thinking about using it outside under a tarp.
      I am interested, what is your kitchen setup? I just attended an exhibition with manufacturers of tent accessories and tents and I learned a lot. If u want, we can chat and compare our "must have" and "wanna be fancy and cozy" accesories.
