The grip in the trigger guard is for your left hand's index finger while you are holding the gun with your right hand. You just take a normal grip with your both hands (just do the damn thumb puzzle) and then grab that trigger guard with your left index finger, because that way you can prevent your gun (barrel) from moving sideways when you pull the trigger.
I used the original 75 back in my Rhodesian army days, my current handgun is the 75 B. Accurate, reliable not fussy about it’s diet. Fits in my hand so naturally, and so it’s points just as easily. You won’t be disappointed with this pistol.
I’ve owned - and loved - my 75B for approximately 30 years. Its design, quality, functionality, ergonomics, reliability, durability and accuracy are all superb. Moreover, it converted me to appreciate - and, in fact, to prefer - traditional DA/SA autoloaders to the far more common striker-fired semiautomatics. I do not suggest my preferences are universal or apply to others, but I find the triggers and the safety of DA/SA designs generally to be preferable. 6:13
I prefer all metal hammer fired over the polymer striker fired in general now. The polymer pistols I have get very limited range use now I have a few different 75 series and 1911s I much prefer.
TIP, to line up those two/2 notches leave hammer in half cock position then move slide back to line up marks, the hammer will prevent slide going past alignment of both marks.

Cz-75b is the best, buy some wood handgrips and you have a superb handgun. Beretta is a awesome handgun but a little chunky Cz-75b is perfect 🥰 always a fanboy!!!
I love mine. I like Beretta 92(m9) too, qualified on it while overseas many moons ago. But that cz is just perfect with so many options or conditions to carry it in. And it helps that it doesn’t mind Soviet surplus ammo 😁. The CZ75 has a neat Cold War history behind it. If you pause the original Red Dawn you’ll see some of the Soviet troops carrying them. Spotted a few used by KGB agents in Atomic Blonde.
Got mine for $520 out the door. Beretta grip was just too fat compared to CZ and I like all steel more than aluminum frame. Ordered a slimmer G10 grip for it and fairly inexpensive extra mags. Good overview.
That's a good deal 💯. I went with CZ over Beretta also mainly b/c I didn't want the decocker and now I have the SP-01 and the SP-01 Shadow and am eyeing the Shadow 2 optics ready model.
I have the cz75B omega trigger. I once owned the Browning hi power which was a great gun but sensitive when it came to different ammo. The Cz is the most accurate handgun I ever shot and I’m 80 years old. The original grips felt uncomfortable with and I changed the grips. Never had a jam, easy to clean. The best.
'Simple is beautiful' ! I WANT IT 🤩 ! That is my first future firearm, I just got my licence but I have to wait 6 months to be allowed to get a personal firearm (France) !
Well 6 months is better than not at all. Is target shooting popular in France? I'm curious how much it costs you in Euros or Francs for the SP 01. I have only seen 1 French made firerarm my entire life and it was an old bolt action MAS rifle. Are there firearms manufacturers in France that are popular?
@@erik22lax Hello ! In France we have Manhurin manufacturer (revolvers), who equiped police in 70 and 80's, plus maybe one or two in hunting rifles, for the army I don't really know... We have 240 000 sport licensees (FFTir), and 1.231.000 hunt licensees (some of them owning the both licenses), for 68 millions inhabitants. Hunt is still popular in France. Law is very restrictive about firearms, and they are much more expensive than in USA... For example, the CZ 75B Omega costs about 1.200€, the basic version of the SP01 1.350€ 🙄.
The CZ 75b was inspired by the Hi Power. They look very similar. The serrations on the front of the trigger guard is for resting your index finger. Great pistol!

I've had mine for 15yrs+ and love it. I put the Hogue Rubber Wraparound with Finger Grooves on it from day one and you just can't let go. It sticks to your hand like it's glued on. Very balanced hand gun. Enjoy! :)🦔🦔🦔
I have a CZ 75 Compact that I bought new over 4 years ago and love it. The Compact is basically a slightly smaller CZ 75B. It’s the only CZ pistol I currently have but I would still like to get a full size CZ 75B Retro edition and 2075 Rami some day. Can’t go wrong with a CZ 👍
Heck yeah you didn't get the omega version I didn't either. I want the old style it took more work and machining, and I think it feels a lot better once broken in.
I have this gun, the BD model, the Compact, the Pre-B, numerous 1911’s, several Beretta variants, two M&P Metals, several Belgium made Hi Powers….. and the winner is… Springfield SA-35. 😮
I always hear how people say about how hard it is to grip the slide. I've never had that issue. Maybe it's a diffence in training where most people get pistols like glicks barrettas and 1911's. My first handgun was a cz75 so maybe it's just a difference in what your used to
@erik22lax good price and beautiful gun don't sleep on the berreta it's an amazing tool in my opinion and if possible look at the Taurus pt92 stainless steel with a safety on the frame not slide great choice as well.
I noticed with mine, if i sort of push towards the muzzle on the bottom of the magazine as i insert it, the mag can sometimes get caught on the part of the frame under i believe, the trigger bar. Does yours do that too?
Those grips are rubber and they are heavy. You should save about 2 ounces when you replace them with wood. Great choice with your cz75b pistol, the beretta 92 is also a great gun, maybe get one too
The best 9mm pistol ever.
Oooooh yeah !!!!!

Cz 75 "pre b" hew better trigger

I bet you got some good stories from yr time in the military. I really like this brand as a whole. Bought 3 other CZs already.
Wow! Not everyday you see a comment from an actual Rhodesian! Thank you for your service, Rhodesians never die.
Big salute to the Rhodesians! 07

Flagship pistol of CZ! Good choice! I’ve owned one since 2008 my favorite 9mm! I changed the grips to wood. Softest shooting 9mm I know of.
I have almost all the 75 series
It will be my first firearm, and I think I'll put wood grips too !

Nice Review , thanks ... I’am just deciding to get one from my local gun store , they are selling them for $549.00 new !
That's a good price. Do it!
In this inflation economy, that is a good price.

i have many cz,s and i do not find the slides hard to rack at all
Compre una en enero y la verdad me sorprende lo buena que es. Buena arma e indiscutible una de las mejores 9mm.
Hola amigo-I agree great design and performance
SUPER VOLBA !!! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice firearm indeed
The better choice than a Beretta. My police model has been nothing but great in the 15 years i have owned it.
I couldn't find a 92 so I bought this instead or else I would have had a Beretta
Felicitaciones
Muy buena pistola la cz75
La mejor de todas

Less slide mass to grab onto than other models
How much you pay for your 75b? I just picked one up on sale for 599$. I have a beretta 92fs so i will compare them side by side at the range soon
$570 total cost. I went with this over the Beretta. I do like the new 92XI model just released at shot show this year.

The Berreta is a nice gun I have one, but it aint nothing compared to my CZ75BD

Nope can't say that I have had any magazine issues usually it's magazine break which covers the hammer spring that can bind up.
Is this model still available in America brand new cant find them here in Australia
Yes
Is it a polymer slide or metal slide?
Metal, the whole thing is steel including the frame and the slide
@@erik22lax thank you
Can you convert it to single action only?

I think the sp-01 has rubber grips and the b has plastic
