Ladybird Room (Babies up to 2 years)

This room is designed to accommodate children up to 2 years. We follow the babies’ home routine and liaise with parents constantly to ensure that we provide the best care for your child. We support their social development by creating a welcoming and loving home from home environment to help them form strong bonds with the team and their key worker.
In the Ladybird Room we focus on 3 primarily areas of the early years’ foundation stage. This builds a strong foundation for future learning.
The primary areas are: communication and language, where we create a language rich environment to help develop their confidence and the start of independence; physical development where we keep the children active and provide stimulation to encourage their gross motor skills; personal, social and emotional development, building positive relationships with you and your child.
In order for all this to happen we have a designated suite with a large open and bright room for them to crawl around and explore, boasting a number of sensory toys and age-appropriate equipment. The area also consists of a calming sleep area and separate dining area.
The Ladybird Room has its own exclusive outdoor area connected to their room that is equipped with open-ended resources to engage the children as they develop.
By the time they progress into the Caterpillar Room they will have started using single words, starting to feed themselves and be confident on their feet walking.
