  • While we might take them for granted, our eyes are incredibly complex organs. How do they work? Is it possible for eyes to have evolved over long spans of time?
Host Lauren and Dr. Randy Guliuzza discuss the eyes and the concept of complex engineering on episode 66 of The Creation Podcast!

Obviously they don’t have a huge budget for podcast videos, but some visual representation (animated or something) of what they’re describing would help tremendously. I understand what they’re saying, but seeing it as it’s being described would make it way easier to follow. How he was saying that there’s a whole cascade of reactions when processing the photons - seeing that in animation would add to the appreciation of its complexity, but would also make it more interactive and interesting. Same thing with their podcast’s describing the mechanisms of the flood. That would be so much better if they showed what they’re talking about.

@@Bomtombadi1 sounds like you don’t have much of a clue about this subject. One of the fundamental tenets of mainstream science is that life cannot come from non life. Do your research. You know nothing about my research. Educate yourself instead of blowing smoke. Maybe start with how the building blocks of dna came about and how a basic life form like an amoeba has up to 300 billion base pairs in its dna, all of which are arranged impeccably as a phenomenally complex computer code but a code that can read itself and make copies, allowing for cell replication, not to mention replication of the species itself. Apparently we came from something like an amoeba…..
Then take a look at the fossil record and see can you find any transition fossils. Your belief in evolution as I said before relies on firstly chemical evolution and somehow all the elements of a cell (including dna) somehow coming together and synthesising in the primordial soup. The odds of a single basic protein forming from 150 amino acids that could somehow constitute one of millions of elements of a single cell is 1 x 10 to the 164th power. There are only 1 x 10 to the 80th power of particles in the known universe.
If this single very basic protein did form it would have zero protection and would instantly degrade by the Sun’s UV. Anyway, you seem to be an expert so, you know all this already.
And btw, evolution is not a thing. Adaptation within inter fertile kinds is a thing as this capacity is built into the regulatory function within dna.
We are devolving, as we amass approximately 60 new genetic mutations every generation. Within 1400 years at currents rates of mutation any geneticist who knows their subject will tell you that the human species will be extinct. It’s called Genetic Entropy.

Explain to me the rationale behind why rape, murder, and plunder are wrong from an evolutionary viewpoint. you are just trying to propagate your genes and ensure your survival (survival of the fittest). *Evolutionists make all kinds of foolish claims like, "The human eye is a poor design". Why then, can I see so well?*
You actually can't see as well as some other organisms, even as a baseline. Birds and some arthropods have a wider range of what would be visible light, birds of prey have better visual acuity. And the big one is that our eye is set up backwards, with the blood vessels and nerves running _in front of_ our retina in such a way that their convergence point forms a blind spot that we have to constantly move our eyes to account for; cephalopods have that reversed, and so lack our inherent blindspot.
Funnily enough, this blindspot is a trait specific to the vertebrate eye, as if such quirks follow a pattern only evolution can logically explain.
*The Lord made them, VERY GOOD is the truth of the matter.*
And then he killed over 99% of them because he either thought they _weren't_ very good or because he's incompetent.
*Evolutionists must make statements like these to try and prove their religion (paradigm)*
Evolution isn't a religion by any definition that doesn't dilute one or both terms into uselessness.
*because evolution is an ad-hoc design theory*
It's the _only_ valid theory of biodiversity currently around. But hey, thanks for admitting you don't know what a theory even is.
*that doesn't reach an end result. constantly evolving, getting better makes no sense when what is, is so efficient and well designed. God gets all the glory!*
Because there _isn't_ an end result. The only "goal" in evolution is surviving long to have offspring who can do the same. What form that takes will inevitably change given our existence as imperfect self-replicators living in a dynamic environment.

Those glasses he is wearing are awful thick for a designed eye. Unless the designer is incompetent. Lose the glasses Randy, too much science in those, maybe try some snake oil from the ICR gift shop instead.
