4x 1N400x diodes in series, job done for a couple pennies.
what is the make and model of your voltage reducer?
Buck Step-down LM2596 Power Converter Module DC 4.0~40 to 1.3-37V LED Voltmeter
it is stupid that the cradle charger cant operate on 12 or 13.8 volts to begin with, or can it?
It has been my experience that they accept 10 volts. It seems like that it would too easy for Baofeng to make them accept up 13+ volts so they would work in vehicles. Thanks for watching.
Mine charges with a 12v wall adaptor, however I can't attest to how well this will work long-term
simple solution LM317
Thanks
