All my being stood to attention as I started reading this book and remained in attention after I finished it. Thank you Peter Kingsley for writing this book, both incredibly beautiful and important beyond words. this stayed with me: "And the point of life is to follow that presence, wherever it leads; never to let it out of your sight; not to look to the right and left; and once you hold it in your hand or inside your body, never to let it go until the time is right".
It is amazing how quickly people judge the others. I am pretty sure that none of those who insulted Dr. Kingsley's work have a single clue about what he talks about. Puppets of ignorance, that's what they are. Dr. Kingsley, please keep up the good work you have been doing. It will certainly be appreciated by those who know life has more to it than the great majority of people think.
I have read it all, I find it surprisingly interesting, witty, romantical and profound. But the footnotes, where he tries to give scientifical evidence of the theory, are in many cases unable to do the proof and the author often seems to have an agenda, which is not the best for a honest scientifical research. This does not mean that the theory is wrong. But from a scientifical point of view, there is a lot still to be done to make it reliable.
@gurugeorge and he was right hes not a scholar he has said that himself he talks about other tradition other than the "scholars"... he even might be discussing more directly about the core of western and eastern wisdom he saved my life by making me split from that guild and just being myself :)
Well "rejected" is possibly too strong. After all, he has been published by one of the great scholarly publishing houses of the UK. Also, I have seen him quoted in other scholarly works. I'd agree scholars won't follow his cult, but that's only to be expected. I think he's great though, a great mystic (but also a respectable scholar).
@gurugeorge well his text: Ancient Philosophy, Mystery and Magic is of some importance and is visible but must of his other books are too far out from what the consent opinions about what presocratics and their relation amongst themselves and their influence with the eastern are... i talked about him several years back with my thesis assesor (a reknown greek investigator) and he ended up embarrassing me cause, yes, his theories are too far off and he has "other ithineraries" in mind...
Truth is eternal. All else will vanish and turn into dust. Thank you, Peter Kingsley.

i really love what this man says and the fact that scholars reject from root what he says it means hes doing something right.
thank you mr kingsley.

I noticed the endorsement from Victor Maier. No greater praise, Dr. Kingsley.

How many scholars does it take to change a light bulb: Ten. I to screw it in and nine to interpret it in the light previous scholarly research.
