It still blows my mind how much Assassins Creed 2 revolutionized the direction the series and developer were taking. Nearly every games main theme music since, including this one, has been a remix of that theme. If AC 2 hadn’t made such an improvement from the first one, this series would have died a long time ago.
I do agree that it completely changed the franchise for the better but I don't think that even one of the kenway games had Ezio's family in their themes

I'm crying. This was so amazing. Good job amico mio. They put Ezio's family even in Mirage, in almost all AC games. Ezio's legacy is still not forgotten.

I hope this is a new tactic of ubisoft to satisfy both types of Assassin's creed players(before and after origins)
@Hydro I mean, Syndicate wasn't *that* bad. 'Twas at least better than Valhalla. So who knows, perhaps there's still hope.
If they have to go the RPG route with Red, I hope they at least take the sort of Ghost Of Tsushima route with the RPG mechanics. That'd be a lot more fun than whatever is in Valhalla and Odyssey.

The fact that this character we are going to play as is already someone else in Valhalla and someone else further in the past makes him so exciting. Seeing his story unfold across the history might be the most unique thing an individual AC game has ever done. I wish he became the main protagonist atleast for a while, just like the duo of Ezio and Desmond were. But here it would be just him and his quest to remedy the past. Far more personal than what other Assassins or Templar strive for.

@@acfort9624 Gameplay wise pretty good for being limited with Valhalla's engine. Storywise? Quite mid actually, I am disappointed that there was no foreshadowing left for modern day storyline, and we didn't even get time to spend with the person Basim becomes at the end. The game needs a sequel.

feel like going back through the ezio trilogy again and also this last beloved parkour we got wich was unity the missions you could play with friends despite being buggy sometimes it was sooo sick dude "just you and me fratello mio" could be meaningful even with friends proudly having the altair set on next to your friend feeling like the auditore brothers on top of the church. they managed to make so many memorable things. to the old ac's i lift my cup,as me and my friends could climb on rooftops,when assasinations were on the dot,the heist,we could do,the meet up with leonardo, those were the real stuff to the maybe next good rooftop adventure fellow camarade assasins! this is a good version i like it. cheers for it.
I never had the chance to play ac with friends online but I'm happy to bring those nostalgic memories for you fratello mio !

Nostalgic
So I love the Ezio theme, it is a classic piece of longing, hope, wonder, awe, betrayal, tragedy and perfectly somehow captures the Italian Nights of Assassin's Creed 2. But the reason I am happy they used it in this trailer more than any other game is one reason. This feels like assassin's Creed trying to return to it's roots. I want a semi historical narrative with white robes assassin's. I want politics, intruige...and being an assassin in the creed sounds so interesting. At this point everyone knows the creed...we don't need to rediscover it again and again. But a story like Ezios in Brother hood and revelations would be epic. I don't want a story about discovering the creed I want a story about living with it.
That’s what I Felt when watching the Trailer and hearing this theme. I felt a soft reassurance that we could get the most Beautiful, Loving franchise out there back that will make you Cry, Laugh, Excited, Anxious, Interested, And best of all like Part of Ezio’s Family, I don’t know if I just love the Ezio Trilogy too much but that is how I fell in love with the Creed and the stories they told and I pray they go back to that because that’s what I fell in love with, not the RPG games I love but the old style that wasn’t just amazing, it was Art.

Give us an open world story driven game; where even the side quests tie in to the narrative that draw you in and where you have a desire to complete them. We don’t need 10,000 random side quests hidden throughout the map. There’s a reason Brotherhood, 2 and Black Flag are among the best of the series… follow in those footsteps. I’ve enjoyed every single game; but these last 2 haven’t been as interesting as they could’ve been. Give your fans the breath of fresh air this series and have this game be one if not the best to revamp the franchise and make us want more

Well said, Ubisoft doesn't need to put millions quests, they just need to make proper side quests, it's weird to think that games such as Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, Witcher 3, and even their older games has side quests that would certainly made people think that it's THE main quests if they aren't given the context, remember the Leonardo inventions side quests? or those co-op missions in Unity?

The one game that made me fall in love with story driven games was Ezio in AC2 and the music still brings back memories. SO glad they are going back to OG AC and hopefully we can enjoy the story of Basim!! The fact that they still use Ezio's Family showcases how that character transcended the series
I've been listening the hell out of this!
I really like the arabian setting (during the Islamic Golden Age specifically) which harkens back to AC 1, so the franchise has come full circle in a way.
