Hi sir, good day hope your doing good. Concerning the video I just watched I am a farmer like you too and buying feed in bulk and storing for future use is not a bad idea as a matter of fact it’s smart idea. But it has a few disadvantages but narrows down mostly to one and that’s what you faced which is the feed catching cold and clothing and forming big pieces. Which will affect the chicken mostly causing them to start coughing, at the store that you bought it they have a way of storing it with a specific temperature that keeps the feed safe for a longer period. But the mistake you did was first you did not have a store room to keep the feed safe and one mistake I saw was you kept the feed directly on the floor which increases the chances of the feed getting bad to keep it safe you need to put something t lift it away from the floor like the planks that are mostly used in containers for shipping which helps in increasing the longevity of the feed and make sure the house is not too hot nor too cold. Hope this helps. I said this because we use to produce feed by ourselves in bulk and just store it until next farming season that we bring in more grains and our chickens and animals were doing great.
Thank you so much for the great advice, I'm really grateful.. Well, here is not too cold, it's stored in a normal room temperature..not cold not hot.the only thing I could have done was to use planks on the floor. The reason for the caking was because of the maize used in producing the feed because I reached out to people I do buy them from and they told me they had the same issue in that particular set of feed. Thank you once again for your great advice and concerns 🙏 God bless 💯🫶
You're correct, the best teacher is experience, at least I learnt a lot through this experience...and it even made me stronger. I just bought many of the feeds for future purpose because of the bad economy.
Thank you for watching 🫶, what's your greatest challenge in poultry farming?
This is wonderful you've thought me how to feed my chicken. Very evident in my channel
Thank you so much sir 🙏
I appreciate you 💯

Ok sir, that's the game... thanks for your Advice 🙏
@@Bukasfarmexactly what I was trying to say.
You should or ought to give indication of how many birds you fed with 4 bags so as to be instructive.
Thank you for the great idea sir,I have around 170 chickens which 50 bags is too much to stuck for them.
@@Bukasfarmyeah realistically that’s too much for 170 hens but it’s ok it part of being a farmer you learn every day from your mistakes to succeed.
