- Fraggle Rock - Season 1 Episode 18 - The Minstrels - The Medley
[Cantus] orders Red to start the Medley with her song, but she tells him she doesn't have one. He becomes impatient with her and explains that all Fraggles have songs. Their songs are inside themselves and all they have to do is listen. Red stops and listens, and starts humming a short tune. She finally finds her song. The Medley begins, starting with Red, then Mokey, then Gobo, then Wembley, and more and more Fraggles start lending their voices little by little, and growing in harmony and lyrics to a grand song. Even Boober peeks out of his cubby hole and starts humming along with it. Everyone finishes the Grand Medley, Cantus looking very pleased.

Love the Fraggles. May Jim Henson's creations live forever! Rest in peace Jim, you are very missed and will never be forgotten. What a legacy you have left us!!
This is a deep show. It proves that kids can handle depth and meaning in their entertainment. TV & Movie executives need to remember that.

When I was a little kid, I used to have a record of Fraggle Rock songs that I would listen to in my play area of the basement. I remember listening to this song on that record.

I'm 24 and I find it fantastic.
The music is great the characters have an impleccable sweetness, innocence and decency.
Besides that the social stuctures of the fraggle civilization are the envy of any filanthropically poised idealist.
Only when ones heart has shut it's doors will one find the fraggles childish. Henson was a genius.
I really love this song it is really great to listen to especially when I feel bored

@69MrGemini: A melody is the tune of the song, but a medley is a set of short song pieces, so this actually falls under both categories.
I could SWEAR when I had the soundtrack cassette in the 1980s that this was actually called "Our Melody" on the tape.

I know--Cantus was never hard for me to understand at all. Maybe that's why I love him so much. :)

each of them contained two different episodes, although they didn't have all the episodes on them.

My Fav. Character Is Boober Fraggle!
In Cantus' first episode, he teamed up with Red. In his second appreance, he teamed up with Mokey and in his last three appearances, he teamed up with Gobo. If Cantus ever decided to team up with a fourth member of The Fraggle Five, I think Wembley would've most likely have been next and probably that would've been about it I guess.

My graduation present from one of my best friends was a Fraggle shirt. I still have it more than 10 years later.
I've always been a big fan of Jim singing (preferably Dr. Teeth over Rolf, but still). You can mimick his talking voice (maybe), but not his singing voice. That's the main reason Y I still miss him so much.

@MovieRatIan: It may have aired after the original series, but pretty much everything prior to the last few episodes--where the Gorgs befriend the Fraggles & Doc finally sees the Fraggles--remained in the cartoon, so that chronologically, it would technically be somewhere between the first episodes of the series and the final block of episodes that ties it all together.
@sparklegrl0713: This is true. Besides Kermit, Jim IS Cantus, because those two characters--Kemit and Cantus--are the two forces keeping their respective brands in balance (though Majory does help the Fraggles a bit, even she would probably go to Cantus for wisdom should she need it).
funny you write that because oz and spinney are two of the muppeteers who never worked as characters on fraggle rock ever as far as I know
I named a cat I had Boober. My friends also used to call me Queen of the Fraggles because I'm so short.

@davidls11 The animated version aired five months after the live-action show had already finished its 5 seasons with an episode tying everything up...so it wasn't really switched to animation, the cartoon was a totally different show that only ran 13 episodes.

gobo fraggle is swaying his head and bouncing if I was on gobo fraggle's shoulders when he was swaying his head or bouncing up and down it would feel very funny and it would also be very bumpy
