I think that the Dora Milaje are primed to become fan favorites. In the comics they were usually just badass accessories to BP. The arc with Nakia is the only one that I can think of that delves into them. I really feel that although they will always be tied with Panther, they could carry a series or movie in their own right. With Panther as the support character, or Mcguffin.
Wish we could get a spin-off series on them, would be sooo good.

Africa has a lot women warriors and rulers that fought on the front lines as the men did. The Dora Milag'e (Strong & Beautiful Black Women) is a representation of that history where the women shine as much as the men did. And died with pride no matter the battle fought. Something you'll never learn in your history books.

If you think about it, whomever the king chooses to marry will end up becoming an extremely important political person [i.e. queen]. If the king could marry ANY woman he wanted, that opens him up to the possibility of marrying someone completely unfit to be Queen. [Men sometimes marry bad women; it's a fact] By keeping the Dora as potential wives for the king, you effectively limit is pool of choices to extremely capable, hardy, loyal, and strong women.
It would be so cool if the new Wakanda series is about these few rogue Dora Milaje members and their hunt for Zemo
I don't know why it's creepy they work like potential wives. It means they are loyal to him like a marriage but at the same time can marry either of them if he chooses.

It is an interpretation of the women warrior in my country of Bénin Republic in west Africa where the king had many women fighters in the army. And these women were indeed considered the king's wives since they did not get married while serving in the army. They are called the Amazon of Dahomey but we call them mini or n'nonmitton in our language meaning our mothers. I can add more but I don't want to put too much here

@@scottalderson4708 yes they are real. A book was written about them. I know one of them actually. She has been hidden from the public eye for decades. Her name is just Nan which means mother in our language. Her name is Nan dru though. I know the story personally. I can tell you about them

T'Challa will have passed away offscreen. It would be interesting if they keep the cancer angle implying that The Blip preserved him for a time. There will be some upheaval before Shuri steps up to assume the role of Queen with the Dora Milaje as her protection
That would be highly disrespectful to the actual real-life family of Chad.. plus Wakanda is decades ahead in science. They probably have a way to suppress cancer cells.

I understand that the movies don't always add to the source material but, having T'Challa due from tge same disease as Char is extremely disrespectful. And while they never stated that Wakanda has the cure for every disease I rather believe they do. Also I believe and still hope they recast the character so that Chads work and still live on

Fact: The Dora Milaje are based off a real tribe of African female warriors from the Erverh Kingdom. They were referred to as the Dahome women.
I don't think there's a set up being done for Bucky being the White Wolf.....I think he already is. We just haven't seen him in the look yet. In the one extended scene "we" saw where Bucky is revealed to be in the Wakandan village, one of the characters (a child I believe?) Calls him white wolf.
They do a few times I think, I think it’s more setting him up to put on the outfit and maybe return to wakanda for good, cause he’s having trouble elsewhere

As badass as they were in that scene though, they kinda fucked up at their one job. Zemo literally got away from out under their noses while they were busy beating John, Lemar, Bucky and Sam to a pulp.
I agree with them not capturing Zemo at that moment but at the same time they could get him whenever they want to...As you mentioned, there was something else going on that they had to handle to nip it in the bud, mostly putting John and Lamar in their place. What could’ve happened was Bucky or Sam paying attention to Zemo making sure he didn’t escape.
Correction: T'Challa DID NOT become a regent after his father's death, he became the king.
Nope, he needed to do the "fight ceremony" with the other royalties tribes, every tribe have the rights to claim the throne. That is why when Killmonger claimed his rights to the throne, T'challa had to accept the challenge.

it would be cool to see that T'challas revival on black panther was temporary, only to fix the damage of killmonger, and then infinity war happened and then endgame, he had to settle things down, and then rest as he should have in black panther, then pass the title... although it would still be too early for such a big character to go away so fast, but i just don't know who is gonna play T'challa if he was ever recast

Okay, I need to break this down. The idea that Black women could ever be more skilled warriors then Black men is absolutely ridiculous. I love my Black women but I need to set this straight because I know this for a fact. When I was a teenager dating the young woman who would eventually become the mother of my children, she was an athlete, a track-star who trained every day. Me, I only ran for fun and I did so when I was basically a little kid. Meaning, I would run for fun when I was 5, 10, 15 years old and at 16, 17, 18 I wasn't running so much anymore. So, we were dating and we'd be hanging out at my place and then I would walk her home and she would suddenly be like "Yo lets race!" I would be like "Okay." She would go all in and give it her maximum power. I'm talking a 110%..me, I would give it about 50 or maybe 65% of my power while laughing and would beat her like it was absolutely nothing. Afterward we would have a laugh and she would accuse me of not actually running but simply walking very fast! Lol, and she was correct. Again this woman was strong, she was a trained athlete and me I didn't train at all. It was clear to both of us that my power was on a completely different level then hers. I never had to take any physical confrontation with her seriously. Unless Wakandans are far weaker than myself, the idea that the Dora Milaje would be the most skilled warriors is laughably ridiculous. Lol!

Dude, you're projecting some insecurity. They're actually based upon real women warriors. Dahomey tribe. The film was present idea that women could be fierce amd feminine without the men being insecure about it. They treated them as equals and an asset to their society.
